French connection sizing

Help please! What is FC sizing like? I have spotted a dress on website i like but a friend has told me thier sizing is a bit off. The size guide on line is fairly standard. What say you mumsnetters?

Definitely off because a 12 dress fits my 34 f bf boobs perfectly. Fc fits me well i'm large of boob and small on the bottom and large medium around the middle, whereas ted baker I can't even get over my head but fits my pear shape friend really well.

Big, v big. I'm a 12 but in FC I'm a 10 or sometimes an 8.

Sorry big, I thought you'd get that from massive boobs in 12 dress

I'm usually a consistent size 8. I once bought two pairs of trousers from French Connection on the same day - one was a size 10, the other was a size 6. They both fitted me. Sorry, not very helpful I know!

Ah ok thanks for all your replies! I'm going to take a chance and order it. And avoid lingering easter eggs in the meantime ....

V big. I have a FC dress in a size 12 and it is very loose on me. In other shops I would normally be a 14.

goes against trend...generous in bust but their more fitted skirts/dresses can be a bit neat at the bottom I find. anything looser/jersey is fine though, just some of their pencil type skirts.

and t shirts/tops often huge.

I'm generally the same size in trousers/skirts but go down a size in dresses/tops.

John lewis site insists I am size 12 regular. I normally buy 14 tops and 12 bottoms. This FC dress I want is stretchy. Not sure what size to order

Don't know if FC have altered their sizing since this thread was made 4 years ago but I'm a size 10 in all shops (apart from next and M&S obviously, where I'm probably a size 4) and a French Connection size 10 fits me perfectly.

I'd buy 12 and 14 and try them both Fluffy

I find them fairly big on top, more fitted on bottom.
