What size do you think she is?

I know, I know. I shouldn't read the DM, but its my guilty pleasure to read the showbiz pages.

Anyway, I saw this www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-2129370/Natalie-Cassidy-squeezes-pair-tight-fitting-bottoms.html and I have a pair of similar jeans and wondered if thats what I look like in them. Mine are slightly darker but still, very similar.

What dress size do you think she is? I'm trying to gauge if that is what I look like in mine and maybe I'm blissfully ignorant of what I actually look like in them!

I think she's a 14-16

She's far too big for pale jeans and the top looks like her bra doesn't fit her correctly.

pale skinny jeans = skinny legged girls

Surely her size is more or less irrelevant? if she's 5' she might be overweight at a 12 but if she's 5'8 (which I appreciate she isn't) then a size 12 is quite slim.

I think she looks a bit podgy and unfit, which is worse than being one size or other, and a bit sad for someone who had an exercise video (didn't she?).

otchayaniye · 14/04/2012 08:09

a 16

otchayaniye · 14/04/2012 08:10

size creep isn't it.

i'm a size 6 in most shops now, sometimes an 8.

but i'm really a ten. god know's where women smaller than me (and there are plenty) shop

otchayaniye · 14/04/2012 08:11

erm .... "knows"

EllieorOllie · 14/04/2012 09:23

Totally agree with you otch. I have to buy a 4-6. However when I was in my late teens (oooh about 12 years ago) I was an 8-10. Even though my weight has redistributed a little I'm still essentially the same size. So that's what I believe my real size to be. Vanity sizing is a nightmare.
So I reckon NC is a 12 in good old Next these days, but probably a 16 in old money.
Plus it's definitely the colour of those jeans causing the problem...

hellymelly · 14/04/2012 23:10

Yes, I started out as a size 10, or 8 if I could get it (most ranges started at 10) When I was 17 and had a 23" waist, which is now smaller than a 6. I still buy a size 10, and I'm 5" bigger than that now!

vanity sizing has gone mad... which is a bit of a problem when you're 5ft and a size 8 like me Wink In some places, like next, I have to buy a 6.
I'm around half a stone heavier that I was 10 years ago too and I don't remember having to buy such tiny sizes then.

LesAnimaux · 15/04/2012 10:36

I'd say 14-16, but really, I couldn't care less.

TheLaineyWayIsEssex · 15/04/2012 10:59

There is no way she is a 16. Look at the second pic where she is face on to camera. Max size 12. She is short, with a petite frame so any 'extra' Weight ( while still not being fat) really shows.
Agree not most flattering outfit choice, but if she was happy wearing it, who cares. At least she asn't got her tits and arse hanging out like the TOWIE lot.

lunamoon · 15/04/2012 11:47

I don't think those jeans are falttering. I think she looks about a size 14 in those but could be smaller.

perceptionreality · 15/04/2012 11:49

Vanity sizing doesn't seem to affect me. I've weighed around 8 stone for most of my life and was a size 8 ten years ago and now.........

Is it only some shops?

CointreauVersial · 15/04/2012 12:27

She doesn't look that bad, ffs!

The jeans probably would have worked better in a thicker denim, as that smooths lumps and bumps a little better, and leaves a bit more to the imagination. Or a darker colour.

I would say she is maybe a 14?

DilysPrice · 15/04/2012 12:46

I'm not sure there's been much size inflation over the last 10 years, but Zi have some 20 year old clothes, and they've definitely inflated since then, especially M&S and Next.

MagsAloof · 15/04/2012 13:02

14-16 on bottom. 14 on top. But depends on her height. I am nearly 6ft tall and a 14, but would look like a gazelle next to her.

I like Natalie, although she has poor judgement with men, obv. She seems like a sweet girl.

polyhymnia · 15/04/2012 14:30

Never heard of this woman. Looks like a 16 to me but as has been said she may just be short.
