Went to buy new clarins Vital light but nearly fainted at £59 price tag so opted for the hydraquench at £33.50.

Just wondered what anybody else was using and its it any good, cheap or expensive.

Have normal to dry skin which is a bit very wrinkly. 40 something.

I use olay 7 signs with SPF 15. Im 30 and despite sleep deprivation from the dc I do get told how nice my skin is. (not in a Samantha brick way) Blush

Zoidberg · 13/04/2012 16:43

I use olay 7 signs SPF 15 too, and despite years of silly behaviour (smoking, sunbathing much), and 3 years of sleep deprivation, I also get told I have nice skin Smile

Or is it just genes Grin

Another vote for Olay. I have been using it for 4 years now and it has really improved the look of my skin. I'm 35 btw.

sailorsgal · 13/04/2012 17:39

I nearly bought some Olay today.

Do people really spend nearly £60 on a face cream? I would if I thought it was going to be amazing but it rarely is.

The last couple of Spring/Summers I've used Boots once soltan face cream SPF 30. It's been great and it's around a tenner

I use dermalogica ultra sensitive spf25. To me it's like the original bb cream. Been using it for years. Dermalogica always reformulate stuff so they had better not mess with this range! It has a slight tint and blends in nicely, doesn't aggravate my sensitive skin at all. Only thing is I need to leave a good twenty mins before applying dots of foundation on nose, cheeks on top.

Hydra quench is a lovely range, the mask is really good at plumping and rehydration.

Downandoutnumbered · 15/04/2012 19:46

I'm using Soap and Glory SPF 25 (I used to use Clinique City Block but it's been discontinued, and I thought I'd go for something a bit cheaper this time). Only just started using it so I can't comment on long-term results, but it feels nice and light and seems to be doing the job.

TribbleWithoutACause · 15/04/2012 19:58

I use clinique superdefense, I love that stuff.

brizzagirl · 15/04/2012 22:45

Avene is nice, it's a French pharmacy brand which you can get at Boots. They do a Hydrance moisturiser range with SPF20 in light or rich formula which is about £14.50 and they often do 3for2 offers.

FourYolksAche · 16/04/2012 08:44

Downandout - I'm in the market for a moisturiser with spf too and was looking for City Block - they seem to do two now, Super and Sheer. Wasn't sure which to go for, the original has such good reviews everywhere.

Might get the Mac primer as my SPF instead as it's factor 50, then I have my pick of moisturisers instead. Worth a think OP?

wildfig · 16/04/2012 09:06

Another Avene fan, with sensitive skin. I also use La Roche Posay sunscreen during the summer - it's moisturising enough with some serum underneath.

Pinkglow · 16/04/2012 09:33

Ive been using Avon Anew which has SPF 25 which is not bad and my dry skin seems to be fine with it.

Im sure there are better ones out there with that SPF but so far Ive tried this one and Clinique superdefense which is good for most ppl but unfortunately my dry skin seems to soak it up so much I have to apply loads.

MonaLotte · 16/04/2012 16:39

I love Estée Lauder Day Wear lotion with SPF. It's for oily skin though. I love it because it's oil free so doesn't aggravate my acne. It's £33 I think. John Lewis had a gift on when I bought it last week. Not sure if it's still on though.

MonaLotte · 16/04/2012 16:40

Sorry just read that you have dry skin. They do a cream version with SPF for dry skin :)

drywhiteplease · 16/04/2012 16:49

Another vote for Olay.
