What's that purple (or burgandy?) Chanel (?) Mascara I've seen recommended on here?

Or perhaps a better question might be what is the ULTIMATE mascara?

I am very fair. I like a fine mascara - not too make-uppy or cakey. Definitely nothing cloggy. I don't wear make-up most days, and occasionally wear just mascara.

I've seen something recommended on here but I can't remember what.

Smashbox used to do an aubergine coloured mascara which was a nice alternative to black, really nice with blue eyes. dont know if they still do though, not sure what you saw recommended before.

Maybe I should try it in a shop before buying. Am not sure purple will really work...

Note- maybe a cheaper brand will do purple mascara? GOSH at Superdrug possibly? Barry M? That's a lot of money for purple mascara!

I have tried two cheaper purple mascaras - Barry M being one of them. Both not good at all.

The Chanel one is expensive though, Benefit do a nice purple and a blue mascara thats a bit more reasonably priced.

I love max factor masterpiece max in deep blue. Hope they don't discontinue it as so hard to get a decent blue that's not electric blue. Have had Elizabeth Arden ceramide and YSL but both crap in comparison.
