60's Style...

Got a fancy dress party at the weekend and plan to go dressed in sixties stylee.

I have got:

A tunic top thingy
Knee boots
An Alice band - well, one of those rigid "Half Band" thingies as the back of my head is quite flat so Alice bands tend to slide up and off.

I plan to:

Wear pale pink lippie
Lots of pale foundation - not difficult as am very pale anyway
Lots of dark eye makeup, esp mascara. Not brave enough to try false lashes.
Get my next door neighbour (who luckily is my hairdresser) to backcomb me ferociously into a nice bouffy bob.

I'm stuck on tights - from Googling, the popular types in the sixties seem to be either American tan, or very pale/white, or fishnet. Can anyone reading this tell me what they think would be the most popular choice/most fitting for the sixties? I immediately thought American Tan but now I'm confused

Are there any other additions to the whole "Look" I've forgotten?

I think that sounds great, if your legs are good I'd go without tights. What colour are the boots and tunic?

I would say get some which plastic circular dangly earrings and maybe some whhite plastic Jackie O style sunglasses (depending on the time of the party obviously).

My legs are a decent shape but look awful without anything on them - pale, dry shins and just horrible!

Tunic Borrowed from a friend as I don't want to spend too much money - it's not STRICTLY sixties, is it, but I think it'll do when I've "Sixtied Up" the hair/makeup etc.

The boots are black and again not strictly sixties, but they're quite tight fitting on the leg and I think they'll do once the rest of me is "done".

Good plan on the earrings! Hadn't thought about jewellery!

.... also plan to get some really cheap hotpants in town if possible, as the tunic is kind of short...

With that then I'd go for white tights for the full on look.
