I have bought a lovely purple dress with a plunging v neck to go to a do in. Had bought some beautiful chandelier earrings in multi coloured diamanté to wear with it but now I actually think I need a necklace instead as the my chest looks bare (and bony Sad). I need something stunning.....the dress is fairly simple.any suggestions?( budget £50 max)

was going to suggest something but its more £80 than £50......sorry

Teeb · 11/04/2012 15:05

Have you thought about Butler & Wilson maybe? They can be quite...dramatic.

StyleGuile · 11/04/2012 16:45

Stella & Dot could well be the brand for you - they have some beautiful pieces which sound exactly what you are after. Good luck!

MissFoodie · 11/04/2012 16:47

not what she wants for £50, I sell it and there are only delicate necklaces for that price

I always go to Etsy for jewellery as you can get some beautiful unique stuff for decent prices.. and you are supporting individual craftspeople.. bonus!

geometric necklace is also lovely

neon orange and jade yum

this one sparkles!

drywhiteplease · 12/04/2012 10:31

Wow thanks so much all of you! I love B and W but sadly not the price!
suebfg the coast one is perfect, I also love the sparkly one spink recommends.
Will have a look at Stella and Dot too....if its perfect might stretch budget.

MissFoodie · 12/04/2012 16:09

Massimo Dutti have some nice bold pieces like this or this. Both within budget.

MissFoodie · 12/04/2012 16:19

yes, they're a bestseller, have been in vogue twice :)
FF necklace is chunky metal with blue silk ribbon through it

StyleGuile · 12/04/2012 19:50

Is there any way that you could use your S&D perks MissFoodie to assist drywhiteplease in getting her the piece of jewellery of her dreams?! I do hope so. I will be running a competition on Style Guile soon with a piece of S&D as the prize so keep your eyes out ladies!

drywhiteplease · 12/04/2012 22:09

styleguileanyway you could please fix comp so I win Wink
Right I have made a decision....have ordered Coast necklace and earrings as suggested by suebfg but wish I'd ordered the butler and Wilson . Think the pebble website as recommended by merlincat is unbelievable, and will get those gorgeous S and D art deco earrings when I get paid because I just love them (missfoodie do they stay in ok, no catch to secure them?)
Just love anything sparkly and have had a lovely few hours browsing all these lovely pieces....too tempting. Must not even go into shoe and bag options!!!!!(grin)

aaaaaaaaaaaaw :)
yes, earring stay in without anything, hard to explain but the hook is quite long and they are v light, have worn mine about 15 times so far and no probs

suebfg · 13/04/2012 21:35

The Coast necklace is so pretty - I have it and love it to bits. I hope you like it too.

drywhiteplease · 13/04/2012 21:37

Great looking fwd to receiving it

OP posts:
suebfg · 13/04/2012 21:38

For what it's worth, I think the Butler & Wilson one is more of a statement piece but might not be as flexible?

drywhiteplease · 13/04/2012 21:41

Thanks suebfg what I need to hear.

OP posts:
suebfg · 13/04/2012 21:51

Of course, you could always order several and send back the ones you don't like! Worth considering if you can get a free delivery option!

Inertia · 13/04/2012 22:39

Might not be statement enough, but I have this necklace from Debenhams whic I wear with a purple jumper with a deep v-neck, and it's quite flattering . And a bargain at £3.60 in the sale!
