Clarks also have them in white (was tempted) and pale pink, as well as dark brown.

TuftyFinch · 10/04/2012 23:11

Thanks Usual, he's now doing karate for goodness sake.

EnjoyResponsibly · 10/04/2012 23:12

Fuck me no, they are a crime against shoes.

pictish · 10/04/2012 23:13

Oh - I was debating these as well...also simple, but a bit more up to date.

bringbacksideburns · 10/04/2012 23:13

I do not like those shoes, or that price for said shoes.

However i love your user name and have a mother called Joyce. It made me snigger Grin

Neverever · 10/04/2012 23:17

Nay from me.

goingmadinthecountry · 11/04/2012 06:58

I can think of a couple of young ironic dressers round here who could probably carry them off (but probably wouldn't if they had the choice).

What is it with Clarks?

nooka · 11/04/2012 07:20

I wore those sandals every summer as a child and would wear them again because I know that they would be comfortable and not give me blisters like every other bloody pair of sandals I've ever bought.

But then I've just bought a pair of Clarks Mary Jane shoes for work that look like a cross between little girl and granny shoes. Even dd who flatters me on every occasion said they were boring! I don't care as they meet my main criteria of not hurting my feet.

OneOfMyTurnsComingOn · 11/04/2012 07:23

Aww Jesus sandals! I wore those at First School! Are you going to a 70s do?

KittieCat · 11/04/2012 08:36

I'm with Pictish and Tufty and am going to get me a pair. Off to the Clarks website now. So there.

Thank you, OP.

MissFoodie · 11/04/2012 10:15

a bit naff, if you want something comfy then I tried these on and they are dreamy, plus, less naff in real life:

Minging.

Bonsoir · 11/04/2012 10:30

You could get something much prettier for £50.

Apoundinatin · 11/04/2012 11:20

Maybe. So long as you have pretty feet.

Mrsrobertduvall · 11/04/2012 11:33

I have just had hoorible flashbacks to the seventies, when I was forced to wear them as nothing else fit my big feet.
I would rather go barefoot and step in dog poo than wear them.

OneHandFlapping · 11/04/2012 12:45

Jesus sandals! Only the God Squad wore these at uni in the mid seventies (with beige socks of course). They were NEVER cool!

pictish · 11/04/2012 17:05

I have been wearing mine all day....they are so comfy and gorgeous!

lessemin · 12/04/2012 00:02

Primark £12. soft leather, dark red or dark and light brown. They look the same to me.

stringbean · 12/04/2012 09:13

Ladyword, Clarks are doing those sandals you posted again this year - here.

JoyceDivision · 15/04/2012 17:22

haha, thanks everyone, the brutally honest helpful posts are confirming its a no...

sadly, I am not an uber-hip person to be able to carry off the look in a trendy fashion. Pah.
