inspired by the Chanel nail varnish thread. I would love to have nice finger nails so where do I start? My nails are a horrible shape, quite square, citified far too long, since pregnant with DTs my nails have started to turn in Blush if I don't keep them short. So how can I tidy them up, what's the best shape, and what tools do I need?

I guess time would help!

Thanks

OPI nail envy is brilliant for protecting them.

Thanks Eggy

My post was supposed to say my cuticles are far too long - it reads like nonsense thanks to autocorrect!

So, bumping for the evening crowd, what are the best products for serious cuticle pushing back and removal? I guess that's as good a place as any to start? Would probably be best to go for a manicure but I'll never make time for it.

Thanks Smile

Loads of tips on here

Mavala. Used to buy from Boots for about £3, now online about £13 but lasts forever. Paint your nails with it twice a week, only the top half of your nail. And leave it to dry (like water so doesn't varnish). Your nails will be like rock within 6 weeks. Mine are and they've always been incredibly weak .

Thanks both of you! Have just read the linked thread ... off to order some stuff now. Am obsessed with my cuticles and wonder what Nails Inc Cuticle remover is like?

Lemon Meringue by Models Own is the most flattering shade I've ever, ever used (have quite pale hands, rather work ravaged so don't want to draw attention to them too much!) not that you were asking about shades, but just to add my little bit about how beautiful it is!

Kaumana the link isn't working for me Sad

On the advanced searchlook up how to be groomed in the style and beauty forum. Should be able to find it that way.
