It cost me £10 which is a huge amount in this house right now. My last product for the skin was Asda own face cream at £1.20. T'was crap btw.

So I am hoping this glass bottle of magic will serve for my face, a bit of body (very dry hands, feet and shins) and also my dds all over dry skin.

Thing is I didn't expect it to be so very very gloopy. How do I use it? Confused

then you might as well put vaseline on your face, that's all E45 is

sleepysox · 10/04/2012 18:44

Miss Foodie, I didn't realise I needed a water based serum before I used an oil. You are such a mine of information. I've added this thread to my watch list so I can reread when I've more time. Thank you :)

MissFoodie · 10/04/2012 20:22

ah thanks :)
I suggested it because Tree was going to use the oil alone day and night and she would need some hydration;
I use it before cream and oil as my skin is combo with a tendency to dehydration, so I find it really helps

Ok now have pharmacy cheap and cheerfull almond oil. DD and I are slithering about after being coated in handfulls of Vit E oil mixed with pool of almond.

Face feels soft to touch but dry to 'me' - if you see what I mean. Dry to live in. I want to stretch my face (you may now think I am insane but if you do it you'll know exactly what I mean) so yes maybe a serum would be good.

Roll on payday!

Hot flannel. Hmm. Hot water though. I could try it as I wouldn't be coming up against much water, bt seriously, the water around my parts is like rubbing limescale on your face.

I use this oil.

www.amazon.co.uk/Nuxe-Huile-Prodigieuse-Multi-Usage-Splash/dp/B001Q1YFV2/ref=pd_sim_d_2

Its a bit expensive but it was bought for me and its amazing, moisturiser, cleanser, scar reducer, smells gorgeous, very light and non greasy feeling

MissFoodie · 11/04/2012 10:09

tree, try taking make up of with the SA oil, hot water and cloth, should be fine, here is more info on cleansing: www.yumetcetera.com/2011/02/cleansers.html

I alternate between oil and cream cleansers though am currently using waterproof mascara (shock horror) so only thing that gets it off is coconut oil.

dinah, that nuxe oil is nice, but I prefer it for body than face, fab for legs though!

sleepysox · 12/04/2012 13:52

Sorry for the hijack!

Missfoodie- my face has an oily t zone, dehydrated cheek area, but I am prone to spots even on my cheeks, even though the top layer of skin is dehydrated. It is also sensitive.

Would a mixture of Argan Oil and Jojoba be the right oils for me to use after the Melvita 'Rose extraordinary Water' serum you mentioned earlier?

Would this serum be the most suitable for me?

MissFoodie · 12/04/2012 14:06

sleepy did you get the jojoba oil? or the neals yard oil?
have you tried a face peel and/or clarisonic?
there's a whole thread (group of us) using Bravura face peels, some Glycolic Acid, some (me) Salicylic Acid, to get rid of flakiness, pores, blackheads and (hopefully) lines :)
I just got a clarisonic, have used twice, so can't be too objective yet, but app it's amazing? does clean well, esp as I have same as you

treedelivery · 14/04/2012 18:39

My coconut butter has arrived Grin

I'm addicted. I'm thinking some warmed up in my hand with a bit of Vit E oil should be lovely. My legs feel less scaly already. Yee har.

do you mean coconut oil Grin?
amazing eye make up remover, I use it all over (using waterproofmascara at the mo) then follow up with clarisonic + cleanser
totally fab!

treedelivery · 14/04/2012 20:52

{grin]

At the moment I'm just enjoying it on my hands and legs. It has done great things for my shins. I've only had it a day! Even my hands feel softer. I'm happy!
