Garnier Sensitive stuff. Takes off waterproof like a dream.

AVOID Simple - made my eyes nip and they were red for 2 days. Angry

hathorinareddress · 10/04/2012 10:09

I tried the simple stuff and my eyes stung like mad!

Actually, that's another thing. Why does all tinted moisturiser end up going into my eyes and making them sting?

baby oil

hathorinareddress · 10/04/2012 10:11

Really lulu? That would save a fortune Grin

No clue about that, but I have the same issue - are you me?! Smile

I've been using moisturiser, primer (Barbara Daly stuff from Tesco) and then just a very light foundation - my skin looks glowy, and people have commented on it! Shock and to be honest, I sometimes skip the foundation and it still looks great.

CarpeJugulum · 10/04/2012 10:13

Oh and no! To baby oil - didn't touch my mascara and made eyelashes feel gluey.

MissFoodie · 10/04/2012 10:13

coconut oil

That Garnier stuff is fab! it's the two tone blue/ clear one. Much, much better than simple.,

pootle123 · 10/04/2012 10:14

I love clinique take the day off eye make up remover. Takes waterproof mascara off really well and doesn't irritate my eyes (am prone to eczema).

Longdistance · 10/04/2012 10:15

I love Nivea eye make up remover. Have used it 4 yrs, and still don't like the others! Has never failed me.

Yoghurty · 10/04/2012 10:18

I'm going to share with you my make-up remover secret. It's hands down the best beauty tip i've ever been given.

Hot flannel.
Seriously.

Sali Hughes did a piece in the Guardian ages ago about the best product to remove make up and mentioned hot flannels and cleansers.

I use Simple purifying cleansing lotion (I see someone above didn't get on with Simple products, but I love it)
I cover my face in the cleanser, run the tap very hot (as hot as you can bear) then wring the flannel out, drape it over my face and leave it for a few seconds to steam (!) then rub all my make up off.
I wear thick black liquid eyeliner and mascara every day and it comes straight off, no panda eyes. And the texture of the flannel is exfoliating too- so wins all round.
My skin hasn't looked/felt this good in years- I tell everyone about this now Grin

I bought cheap flannels and use them once or twice then bung them in the washing machine.

Lots of ideas here Grin

Keep em coming Wink

Boots essentials. It works for me and is very cheap.

hathorinareddress · 10/04/2012 10:19

Yoghurty - that's an excellent plan I have loads of flannels - and I could just use my cleanser that I have which I can't even remember what it is must go and look

Simple made my eyes sting too. I use Garnier one . Brilliant- no sting - in a transparent bottle .

Mombojombo · 10/04/2012 10:22

E45 or Vaseline here. Anything else makes my eyes sting and puff up the next day.

comeonpilgrim · 10/04/2012 10:31

Marks and Spencer's formula eye make up remover is the only one that doesn't sting my eyes or give me dry skin. Takes the lot off and it's cheap as chips!

Yoghurty · 10/04/2012 12:43

hathor Try it for a week and see if you notice a difference- it doesn't matter what the cleanser is- I find it lasts me longer as well, or I don't need as much, whichever!

hathorinareddress · 10/04/2012 12:58

OK so first on the list is Yoghurty's hot hot flannels Grin

Body Shop Camomile.
I have used it for decades! Tried other but always come back to this. Gentle but effective and no oily film.
Good price too!

HazeltheMcWitch · 10/04/2012 22:41

I second NewGirlInTown and recco of Body Shop Camomile. I too have used it for eons. Sometimes i try others but I always return... It never stings, and gets rid of all the murk.

Lulumama · 11/04/2012 12:22

I find the baby oil removes everything , really quickly, incl waterproof mascara .... or as I am using OCM, i use the oils over my eyes and then flannel off like the poster below has described

mollymole · 11/04/2012 12:24

Body Shop - tried loads of others but this is the only one that does not make my eyes sore

mummybookworm · 11/04/2012 12:30

I use Boots own eye make up remover gel. It's in a green bottle. About £1.42 and lasts approx 1 month. Tis fab for me.

Msarsebiscuit · 11/04/2012 12:33

Bioderma Crealine - takes it all off and 500mls lasts ages www.cocooncenter.co.uk/Bioderma-Crealine-TS-H2O-Micelle-Solution-250ml!7476711.html
