I tried the Johnnie B ones as they were a bargain at 16 quid in the sale but they are just the weirdest shape - huge, shapeless ass and then ridiculously skinny on the legs.

Anyone care to share a more positive experience?

Uniqlo Smile. got boyfriend ones last year and some slim fit ones last week. look great and they hem them for free!

also think they need some Lycra in them or they go baggy and shapeless?

The M&S ones are good and come in lots of colours. I think that they have 2% Lycra too. Next ones were quite good last season too. Good luck!

Gap ones are nice, lots of fab colours too

Moomin I got the slim fit chinos from Uniglo too - they're awfully long! Are you getting yours taken up? How short? They are quite a nice shape though and not low waisted which suits me!!

Millie - they did them within an hour (Oxford street branch). got about 3 inches hacked off (short arse me Grin) so they are long enough to wear with ankle boots/pumps but can then roll up and wear with heels/sandals etc

I reckon I'll need 2/3 inches taken off too. Will be good for spring/summer.
