That is it, my little smattering of grey hair has gone mad. It is all wirey and grey and a big thick wedge of it in my parting.

I have very little money, and my days of spending £££ on my tresses are over for now. I need to know the BEST shop stocked semi-permanent hair colour. My natural colour is a mid brown and I have a mass of blondey highlights that I am growing out. My hair throws out alot of red....can anyone help me?

I need a bat phone for TattY Devine!

It is really getting me down, I am only 30....something Wink and just want this grey to piss off.

Can i hijack this thread too? I could do with some words of wisdom from Tatty :)
I am/was a natural redhead when little/younger, however i suspect i have 1 or 2 grey hairs sprouting. My hair colour is like a ginger brown, more lighter towards the roots, with a little bit of root growth that looks more like ashy coloured.

The colour i want isn't that much different than what i have now, i've been using Loreal Feria Mango Intense Copper, which, after about a week's washes leaves me with a lovley vibrant auburny colour. But, its doesn't look the same all over! I have darker lengths on some parts of my hair then the lighter sections towards the roots. I was wondering how I should be applying the hair dye, I know i don't want my hair to be any darker. I know the dye is permanent but i'd say after a couple of months, it does need that boost of colour again. If i apply the dye to my roots first, then my lengths my roots end up bright orange. Could i apply the dye to my lengths first, then my roots for the last 10 mins? Is there a semi-permanent colour that would match the Loreal Mango in the similar shade so i'm not using a permanent dye on my ends every time? Thank You!!!!

Tattie should be awarded a gong at the very least for her services to the sisterhood. I am lurking and reading as I am fairly sure the day is near when I will need this info. Am 40 with some wiry greys appearing at the parting......

Another Tatty hijack.

I have gone the opposite to the op and gone from years of dying my white hair dark brown to the transition of pure white.

There is a big function on Friday and I am supposed to wait until May until the salon does the next bleaching so hair is pure white to neck then orangey below that. Yes, I know...

Can I lighten the longer bit with a home dye or will my hair fall out? I can't go to the function wearing a hat to hide the transition hair.
Thank you Tatty.

cutteduppear
(love the name btw) that is very heartening. I went to the salon yesterday and they washed my hair with some purple solution and I have booked in to get it professionally done, all over brown with a t-bar of mixed blonde highlights.

Howevere.....after reading your post I am tempted to try the one you did but wil do a pigging strand test 1st.

Glad you like your hair.
