Ivory fascinator - too wanabe bride?

Hi

Not sure what the S&B jury thinks about fascinators, hopefully I am not about to be flamed!

I have a wedding to attend in a few weeks. Despite the fact most young uns never seem to wear anything on their head at weddings, I LOVE the opp to wear something ott on my head so generally do. I am 35, so not really a young un, but the last wedding there were only a couple of hats/fascinators and it was me and some 60/70 year old ladies.

I like this this taupe Wallis dress. If I can find a taupe head piece I will, but I have found this cheap good value head dress on ebay.

Question is - is a ivory head piece too bridal like?

Thanx

Like it, nice combo. I think fascinators of the small curly straw like nature are on the way down, but big fandango ones like yours still have mileage.

I think they will look lovely together :)

THanks for your replies and positive comments.

Ah yes, maybe it isn't a fascinator. It isn't quite a hat though.... Head piece I guess...

I am sure the bride won't be wearing a £8 head piece from ebay (!) but there were some lovely expensive ones (not quite the same as the link above) on Etsy which were generally pictured on a model looking bridal and it got me worried!

Thanx

Both really pretty.
[bugrin] at the bride not wearing an £8 eBay head dress. I had a side comb with various flowered from JL haberdashery department that I stitched together instead of revising for Uni exams.
Give my budget eBay would have been amazing.

I'm 35 and like you I love wearing head gear to a wedding.
Try john Lewis. I got a great toffee colour oversized fascinator from there for a wedding last September.
