Teeth whitening

Does anyone know if i can use a sports mouth guard (made by a dentist) with teeth whitening gel at home? I may be wrong but I think the bulk of what dentists charge for teeth whitening is for the custom made trays. Hoping I can do it on the cheap!

No, the sports guard tightly fits your teeth soothe gel will just squeeze out onto your gums & cause chemical burns. Proper bleaching trays are constructed withspace for a reservoir of bleach and are shaped so no gel will get onto your gums & burn them.
