I've had short hair for 6 yrs. Then, decided to grow it into a bob. So, now it's there and, IT'S SUCH HARD WORK. I have to "do" it and need to use a hair dryer every day where before I just washed and went! Even on my wedding day, I washed it and left it and being dead straight, it fell into place, not a hair out of place.

I have mouse brown hair with lots of blond highlights. It's fine in texture but there's LOADS of it. Poker straight.

Any advice? I'm 49 so need to go with either face of hair, I just don't have the time or inclination to bugger about with both. (excuse my choice of words).

see, my hair is poker straight and loads of it and i find mine so much easier longer - for work it literally takes me all of a few mins, i waft it briefly with a hairdryer, turn my head upside down and then grab it into a pony tail, twist it up and clip it. (i have to wear mine up for work)

have you tried either straighteners or the babyliss big hair? do you have to wash it daily? i do mine every other - or for work i just squirt it with a squirty bottle, head upside down an bushta - wap it up - i find mine so much easier now its longer.

when im off and i can wear it down i just dry it with the babyliss big hair and its like a salon do....takes next to nothing to do.

but its horses for courses - i like mine longer.
