If I describe a mac I saw someone wearing at Legoland today; would anyone know where to buy it?

I really liked it but I was too chicken to ask where she got it from. I have wasted the last hour googling so I thought I would give it a last shot on here.

It was orange with a hood. It came to her mid-thigh and was probably a waxed cotton. You could see the lining in the hood and it was a very dark blue. I think it has some dark blue stitching too.

It also had really oversized white/cream buttons; maybe about 3 on the front and perhaps 1 on each cuff.

It looked brand new so it hopefully this seasons, but maybe it just wears well. I think she was British so probably bought it hear.

I am kicking myself for being such a wimp.

Sounds like Boden to me

Egg · 05/04/2012 21:59

I have a boden mac with the same sounding oversize buttons on front and cuffs, contrasting colour lining, same length etc. Definitely sounds similar. The hood is detachable. They do it every year but vary the colours/patterns so if it's not a current one it could be from a year or two ago. I love mine.

It sounds like a Boden to me. You should have asked her! Could it be a Cath Kidston?

It sounds like a designer Scandinavian/Danish coat to me.

nellyjelly · 05/04/2012 22:19

Def Boden.

gallicgirl · 05/04/2012 22:25

Sounds a bit like Seasalt but I don't see an orange one in their current collection.

There's a yellow hip length coat and longer flowered coats:

darthsillius · 14/04/2012 20:53

Les Animaux I kept seeing that man too when I searched!

It was longer than the seasalt one and no belt like the boden one. It just had 3 big buttons at the front, more 1960's than trenchcoat.

Sounds like the rather lovely SEN raincoat from Toast

darthsillius · 15/04/2012 18:24

Ooh that's nice. Really very similar . Except on 3 huge buttons and you could see the hood had a dark blue/ purple lining. But I could buy this one

In theory anyway. It's a bit out of my price range. Am off to legoland again tomorrow and hope the same woman is there.

Sounds nice, if a little EasyJet

LIZS · 15/04/2012 18:33

this?

darthsillius · 15/04/2012 18:43

That's nice too and cheaper. It's didn't have a fly front though.

I loved orange before easy jet or sainsburys for that matter !
