Bored with Boden... Desperately seeking replacement

Have just permanently removed myself from getting any Boden marketing material - absolutely fed up with their dull designs and haven't ordered anything form them for a couple of season.

Where can I try now? Mail order a must as I live in the sticks and am a busty size 12 in my early 40's.
....Heeeelp! Confused

It's a stark contrast to boden......but joe browns stuff, some of it is ok.... Otherwise joules do mail order don't they?

Lostinsuffolk · 05/04/2012 16:34

Tbh I agree with u about boden. Snoozefest tastic these days. They've lost their mojo to me!

Marne · 05/04/2012 16:38

I was going to say 'jo browns' i think their stuff is better than Boden, too many people are wearing Boden (if your wear a boden dress on the school run you are likely to bump into someone wearing the same dress' Grin. Loads of people wearing Joules here too (as there are many joules shops near me).

inkyfingers · 05/04/2012 16:38

White stuff is nice and similar price. FatFace OK, but too casual for me. You could try Joules and Crew, M&S good for basics (rest is very boring). I usually end up in the shops out of desperation. Hobbs and Whistles are nice for something special and more £££.

DedalusDigglesPocketWatch · 05/04/2012 16:40

I am also a busty size 12 and love the joules stuff. Their dresses are very flattering and seem to wash and wear well. Their jersey tops were a bit disappointing though, lost a lot of shape and colour very quickly.

The rugby/polo shirts and tweed is very well made though.

Oh, and the wellies are crap if you do more than the odd walk in wet weather.

Thinking I perhaps own more joules than I should :o

GrapefruitGirl · 05/04/2012 16:41

You're right, LostInSuffolk, not sure what has happened to Boden but it has definitely gone downhill. I'm sure their sales have suffered as I keep getting sent complimentary £10 and £20 gift vouchers but can't find anything to spend it on!! Not like me!

Thanks for the recommendations. Think I might try Poetry as well.

Oska, Gudrun Sjoden, White Stuff, Odd Molly, Avoca, Noa Noa, St Martins, All Saints. What kind of look do you go for? I shop on eBay and search for the labels I know I like and then buy likely looking things that come up in the right size. It's a bit hapharzard, but I've had some real bargains.

Lostinsuffolk · 05/04/2012 16:45

Yep...joules Welles are pants!

Lostinsuffolk · 05/04/2012 16:51

If u have a pj addiction, Superdry do some really comfy check print brushed cotton "lounge pants" that are awesome. Like a pj but more durable and good for everything. U can go out of ur front door in them and not get laughed at. Chck out Superdry not sure if it's mail order...

MsNorbury · 05/04/2012 17:22

I like Phase Eight,Great Plains,Noa Noa,Mistral,French Connection.
Lots of independant online boutiques these days that stock wide range of makes.
Inisonline,Caramelclothing are two that spring to mind.
People rave about Zara but I don't get on with it myself!
