Shipping from the US

Really keen to get my hands on a particular item not obtainable in UK, but available on the Nordstrom website. But, though Nordstrom do generally ship to the UK now, some brands, including the one I want, don't allow them to do this. Infuriating!

Alas, I haven't got any friends or family in or shortly going to US.

Does anyone know any organisation/ agency which can arrange taking delivery and shipping on of such items for me? I realise this would cost extra.
TIA.

Are you sure you can't get the item from another website?

There are lots of parcel forwarding companies that will do this for you but they can be pricey. I've never used them myself as they tend to be so expensive, but google USA parcel forwarding and you'll find plenty to compare. Some of them will even allow you to ship multiple parcels to them and they will repackage them into a single parcel to save on postage. It's also worth looking for ones that have recieving locations in states that don't add sales tax to help offset costs.

Anything over £15 and you'll pay customs fee. I did this and whilst the customs fee was generally low, they was a whacking £8 handling fee from royal mail!

Many thanks. Will investigate.
