Best Breton?

I have searched my local high street on Saturday but to no avail for a perfect Breton, white with navy.
Am thinking about buying Boden one, but review say it is large fit and they have no size 6, (I am an 8). I know they should be loose but I have virtually no boobs and am my smallest across my shoulders so want it to fall right.
Any ideas?

H&M used to do the best ones. I prefer to wear them looser than shown so always size up. However, the last white with navy stripe one I bought (about 6 months ago) has worn really badly - bobbling and never looks quite as sharp even when freshly washed. The other colours I have are fine though.

The one from Kew is nice - no Lycra so a good, loose, square shape and washes brilliantly. It might come up too big for you, though - I'm a size 14 and fit happily into a medium, so I guess you would be extra small.

Hello - I have found the H&M ones great and fantastic value - I too am a 6. Petit Bateau are well rated and I have also found the Jigsaw ones to be great -the xs should work for you. I also have GAP ones and again the xs is fine. I would recommend H&M and Jigsaw as starting points. Hope that helps!

Thank you had forgotten jigsaw, not one near me and have seen there's before. Will try online.
The h&m one also looks good and worth a try at that price. The latest gap one is fine but I want boat neck. I will also look on kew website.

I have a navy/white breton from Hobbs which I've never worn, just doesn't suit me

However, it is nice quality

Hello Spookey 80 - Jigsaw does a pink one too which is lovely! They are stocked at John Lewis so may be better for you in terms of a returns policy. So pleased that you like the blog and the pink door - keep threatening to change it but am not allowed!

spookey I have just ordered the Boden one. I will report back when it arrives. Am tempted by the H&M one that NotMostPeople linked to so may order that one too for comparison. Shame it doesn't have full length sleeves though.

I am a 10 and wear S so I'd say L for a 14-16.

The Boden one arrived and I am not impressed (it's the ecru with navy stripe). Shoulders very narrow but lower half of tee very shapeless. Going to return it.

I got this from Matalan of all places and am v. Impressed with it! Lovely thick off white cotton with some shape! (was after something a bit less boxy, more fitted).

The Uniqlo ones are good too OP but were too square looking on me.

A lot of their clothes are a bit OTT for me, but I got some lovely T-shirts from there last year and the quality is great for the price. this one?

I also love fat face for long sleeved t-shirts.

Yes, the Boden spring version is rubbish. Ordered a few myself as the Autumn one is so good but sent all the Spring ones back

These are really good, I'm not sure who sells them in the uk though but they probably do mail order. I had some years ago, they were very good quality...
