Epilate is impossible ATM. It fecking hurts at the best of times but being pg makes it worse.

Could consider electric.

Does no-one else use this mant then?

You rinse after 'every couple of cm'? OP, erm, I really think you must be doing it wrong!!! I agree with everyone else- 1 razor lasts a while- a couple of shaves at least!!
What are you shaving with? I find that oil based products blunt razors quicker than gel based ones.

StarlightMcEggsie · 04/04/2012 21:17

Baby shampoo!

I can't use anything with moisturiser etc.

Are you trying to tell us you are a hairy troll? Wink

Do you do this every day?

willybreeder · 04/04/2012 21:28

I use hair conditioner to help with shaving, it works well. Just bought some razors in Poundland (I was desperate) see how it goes. Usually use a mac2 and a blade lasts a month but I couldn't find the replacement blades in Superdrug.

StarlightMcEggsie · 04/04/2012 21:28

No. Not every day. Are you kidding?

Mostly I just live as a hairy troll. I tried waxing once but it just wasn't worth he effort or expense as it was all back within 5 days.

Every couple of cm? You're doing it wrong or you have triffids on your legs! I do one smooth sweep from ankle to knee all the way round, rinsing in between each pass, and only have to redo over the shin bone and knee. Above knee the same.

And I have been known to go months weeks in between shaves sometimes.

(not pits, they're done a few times a week).

One disposable gillette lasts 2 or 3 months.

StarlightMcEggsie · 04/04/2012 21:29

I can't use conditioner either. I have REALLY oily skin and hair so I just use by shampoo for everything.

I've found mens razors are much better/sharper than womens one.
I use a Gillette Mach 3...change the blades once every 3 months (and I shave 1/2 times a week).

StarlightMcEggsie · 04/04/2012 21:31

Well from ankle to knee I can go a bit further. It's height than knee that it turns to forest.

OP posts:
StarlightMcEggsie · 04/04/2012 21:32

Higher than knee.

Or do people not shave above knee?

OP posts:
Pascha · 04/04/2012 21:32

Rarely Blush

Pascha · 04/04/2012 21:32

But then i'm not forest-like.

StantonLacy · 04/04/2012 21:46

Starlight you are not alone - I am yeti like in my hairiness and certainly don't shave more than once a week because it takes forever to do.

I use the Gilette pink venus ones and I have to use about three if I want to get a really nice smooth finish. I admit I'd probably need to use less if I didn't wait until my leg hairs were gently waving in the breeze.

You hairless people are lucky beggars - one disposable razor lasting two or three months ? If only.

whackamole · 04/04/2012 21:47

Holy feckin Christ OP! I thought being Greek I was hairy, but you sound like you might have some silverback gorilla in you Grin

Seriously, I use one and just go over any bits that it misses.

StarlightMcEggsie · 04/04/2012 21:47

Oh phew! Thank goodness!

OP posts:
mosschops30 · 04/04/2012 21:50

One razor, shave every other day, lasts months, maybe 8 or 9 months

abbierhodes · 04/04/2012 22:00

Higher than knee? No, never had hair there.

StarlightMcEggsie · 04/04/2012 22:03

Doesn't sound like half of you actually need to shave at all Shock. Doesn't it get thicker the further up your leg and then entwine with your pubes?

OP posts:
Teeb · 04/04/2012 22:15

Entwine?!

I find the hairs above the knee and on thighs aren't very noticeable, more like fine downy fuzz that I only really see when I look at the blade and I feel how much smoother my legs are afterwards.

Pascha · 04/04/2012 22:22

I could get away with not shaving my upper legs further than an inch or two above the knee and no-one would notice.

StantonLacy · 04/04/2012 22:26

Lightweights .Envy I also bet that any hairs you have got are lovely and soft and blonde...unlike my thick, black twohairsperpore ones.

Epilation ? No...I managed a three inch patch on my right calf. The pain was horrific, I'd rather pull them all out one by one with some tweezers and if I had a spare sixteen hours, I would.

Waxing? God, no. The one time I even attempted it there was blood.

And no-one ever believes quite how hairy I am. One of my friends (a beautician) kept saying "I'll wax them for you, they can't be that bad, my legs are really hairy as well" etc. The look of shock on her face said it all.

I must say that the only consolation to this luxuriant growth is that should finances ever be desperate, I'll be able to rake it in, thanks to those mags devoted to the 'hirsute' ladies among us.Grin..which seems to be just me and Starlight at the moment ...we'll corner the market, whaddya say?!Wink

SemperUbiSubUbi · 04/04/2012 23:22

My hairs are all very fine and blonde.

I could get away with never shaving my legs as you cant see they are hairy, they just feel it like fucking spider legs and I only do them maybe 2 or 3 times a week.

downside is I also have blonde eyebrows which are very difficult to see unless you get right up close to me Grin but Blush

Bunbaker · 05/04/2012 07:07

"You hairless people are lucky beggars - one disposable razor lasting two or three months"

I am pretty hirsute and have dark hair, but a Gillette Venus still lasts me for several weeks. I just use soap BTW.
