seem to have dandruff like snowflakes all of a sudden and my scalp is incredibly itchy. My face had dry patches around my chin and cheeks near my nose. I had a tummy bug last week end then food poisoning wednesday (dodgy chineese) and now I am on my period could be due to dyhydration? I am drinking and moisturising. Not eating as mush as normal though and my stomach/bowels are still not right tmi sorry

I have sebhorreic dermatitis and a flare-up sounds very like this (mine are triggered by stress but I guess food poisoning could cause it?)
Prescription creams are all that's worked for me, zaps it almost at once.

DH has psoriasis on his scalp and face which can be triggered by stress, illness and alcohol. Unlike psoriasis on the elbows etc, you don't get a thick build up of cells on the face - it's more like a sore, dry red patch. His scalp gets very itchy though and scabby and he can look as though he has terrible dandruff :(. Have finally convinced him to stop using Head & Shoulders and try Aveda Shampure which has really helped.

coconut oil?

L'oreal Elvive (dark blue bottle) I got Betnovote for my scalp from the docs but have not really used it since starting this shampoo

Would second Aveda Shampure. My son gets this condition and we used Nizoral shampoo to start with and prescription cream to zap it and then have been maintaining his scalp with Shampure - no flare ups since
