Dresses with sleeves required. Surely I'm not the only flabby-armed person around who bloody hates shrugs and cropped cardigans...right?

Spring is here and summer will soon follow... I'm bored of ruining perfectly lovely dresses by wearing cardigans or, god forbid, shrugs and cropped cardigans, just because 99.98% of them are sleeveless.

My upper arms have always been rubbish, even when v.young and slim. Now I'm slightly less young (28) and less slim (14-16) I definitely need sleeves. I like all sleeve lengths apart from cap sleeves, which just emphasise the flab.

Not remotely fussy about style/colour - I'd just love to see any nice dresses with sleeves which are currently on sale.

Thanks in advance!

Sorry! That link's ridiculous. Dress is lovely though.

That dress is absolutely perfect - just bought it. Great price too. Thanks for the tip-off!

I had this problem too, kettle bells help ha ha!

barbaraprim · 31/03/2012 22:25

please could someone do the link as this one won't open for me

ScarfOfSexualPreference · 01/04/2012 00:11

Me neither :( And I have the same problem, well my arms are gross due to weightloss. I'd love to find a nice frock I could wear! And am on an eternal hunt for tops with elbow length or three quater length sleeves.

ScarfOfSexualPreference · 01/04/2012 00:13

Oh is this the one from the above link?

Just a thought anyone tried Armoury by mary portas.

Fluffycloudland77 · 01/04/2012 08:54

FCUK usually do a long sleeved silk dress or two in their collection.

I usually find what I like and buy it off ebay cheaper.

Prima magazine has been on at this for a year or two now. Unfortunately without making much headway.

I'd love to see more dresses with sleeves, and also T-shirts etc with adequate length sleeves (not the much shorter, and even puffy ones of late).

More choice would be great - I haven't bought a summer dress for several years now. Which of course means that I stop looking at any clothes shops after several months of "oh dear, nothing there for me".

EdithWeston · 01/04/2012 09:12

I've looked at a link for the Armoury, but in summer when it's too hot for tights, why would I want to start wearing them on my arms? Also, they look far to "solid" and vampish IYSWIM for a day dress.

warmleatherette · 02/04/2012 16:21

The Gap dress arrived. It's lovely. Unfortunately my legs are still visible. How I hate summer.

MightyNice · 02/04/2012 16:49

can't get those links to work but Gap have loads of £25 dresses at moment and they almost all seem to have sleeves

also in Boden clearance, lots of wrap dresses and jersey dresses with sleeves
