I need a bag, not a handbag....

I suppose a tote bag or something similar. I Find I often end up bringing 'extras' with me - when I m out and about so i have my handbag and another bag i need it to carry the following things

  • e.g my uniform in and out of work .... or book/papers/ shopping / extra cardi etc
I also swim a few times a week so it needs to fit towel togs and toiletries (but not lots of stuff I keep it to a minimum) So I d like a nice tote type bag anyone seen any recently?

I have a lovely tan leather one from banana republic. Seen some cheaper ones in Zara too. Hth!

I have this Terry Bradley bag

I appreciate it's not everyone's taste, but I love his art.

warmandwooly · 30/03/2012 18:57

Longchamp-nylon and leather available in differnet colours and v v roomy

whitelillies · 30/03/2012 19:50

Thanks for the suggestions.
I like the terry bradley bag but I think I might get tired of such a strong pattern after a time.
Longchamp are not really for me either sorry.
I dont like 'sporty' ones either

I am lusting after the Weekender bag here
The only thing holding me back is the knowledge that I would just use it to cart even more junk around

GoblersKnob · 30/03/2012 20:37

Not everyones cup of tea, but I am a massive Kipling fan, something like the Defea would have tonnes of room.

GoblersKnob · 30/03/2012 20:38

Tonnes? Tons. Though will probably hold several tonnes, they are very strong Grin

whitelillies · 30/03/2012 21:45

:-) at tonnes!

Not a kipling fan either.
I like the weekender bag but it might be too big for what i need!
any other suggestions?

For that kind of look I would suggest TK Maxx.

florenceuk · 31/03/2012 19:35

whitelillies · 01/04/2012 21:55

The Moschino one you linked to is within budget...? It's £118.

What about Lulu Guinness?

PastGrace · 01/04/2012 22:13

I love this too (was looking at one in the shop today actually) but maybe a bit plain for you?

carols9995 · 01/04/2012 22:37

Hi. How about a lug bag? They're on Amazon and Ebay. The multi bag holds everything with different compartments. It costs around £60.

whitelillies · 02/04/2012 07:14

Thanks PAstgrace, the moschino one is lovely but I m afraid the colour is a bit pale (would be ruined quickly with almost daily use).
The BR one in tan is on the short list. Am liking some from yoox too. Will have time in a but to look on laptop (phone screen so small)

My pleasure. There are different colours and types. The multi bag is good for work/the gym/weekends away/a changing bag. You can wipe clean and it has organising compartments. The cheapest are on Amazon and Ebay. I bought a lug hair straighteners case on Amazon and it's lovely. I'm not into expensive posh bags so this is a hardworking all rounder.
