Can I wear flats if fashion says heels and get away with it ?

I am off to an event at the weekend where it's the thing to wear heels even if you will be on your feet for about 8 hours.. I never wear heels nowadays! Would you wear heels and have a painful day or put on sparkly flat sandals and feel a bit like you haven't bothered? Also I walk so slowly in heels and it drives me crazy !

At one time I'd have suffered in heels. Not anymore-wear what you are comfortable in.

Everyone else will be Envy by the end of the day!

I would wear flats. I wouldn't feel like I hadn't bothered just because everyone else feels they have to wear heels. Sparkly sandals will look lovely.

Far more stylish to wear something you are confident in rather than being led by "fashion" Wink

Sparkly sandals do show you have made an effort. Birkenstocks do not :o

I'd go for the sparkly flat sandals too. Enjoy the event!

I would wear heels but take fold up flats in my bag (gap do them) don't want you to feel left out in the midst of it!
