What kind of brush? How often and what time of day to maximise results?

I have this brush. I use it after I have had a shower and dried myself, whatever time of day that is. Then I slap on loads of moisturiser. My skin has been much smoother since I started brushing.

I usually dry brush my skin before showering. You start at your feet and use upward strokes (towards the heart) which helps with lymphatic drainage (smoother appearance to skin) as the lymphatic system has no inbuilt pump. It also provides gentle exfoliation. I use it whenever I shower - irrespective of time of day.

The brush I use is similar to Dexter73's :)

I have a round wooden brush from the body shop. I read that you should brush skin in circular motion starting at bottom of body and work your way to your heart.
