Anyone have these? What do you think of them? Do they leave your nails in a bad condition? What is the maintenance of them?

Local salon doing a special offer and feel like cheering myself up a bit!!

Thanks

I have had Shellac done and if put on correctly its fab. It should last about 2 weeks before having to remove it. The acetone used to remove the colour is quite drying so you should try and treat your nails with nail oil, but other than that no special maintenance is needed.

I have had them a few times. Basically, they are like a normal mani/pedi but after each coat they use a UV light to set the varnish. Benefits are that they rarely chip and they're instantly dry. Disadvantages are that they can trash your nails a bit as it's hard to get off without roughing up the surface a little. Also, it is a faff to get off - need to soak cotton wool in remover, then put on nail and wrap finger in tin foil and leave for 10 mins or so. Then scrape off.
