if you were going on a spa day, what sort of time would you book in for treatments and lunch?

going on a spa day with a friend, we where planning on having lunch there, we have booked in for treatments at 1pm, i think its almost an hours treatment.

just wondering should i try to reschedule the treatment time, so we can have lunch before, or would it be better to have lunch afetrthe treatments?

what would you do?

What is the treatment? If it's a manicure or similar then I would have lunch before (minimal risk of smudging) but if it's a massage...Actually, I would still have lunch before, but i would have a break.

My mum and I do them sometimes - we normally have a light, early lunch at about 12, then doze outside/by the pool for half an hour/hour, then I swim a bit and my mum reads her book for another hour or so, then we have a massage and then finish with nails.

I don't think it's very nice to have a massage on a full stomach, but equally if you are having a detoxing massage or something then you probably shouldn't eat straight afterwards either.
