How long do you leave mayonnaise on for?

Hair is like straw so I put a small jar of full fat mayo on it and covered it with a shower cap.

How long should it stay on?

Oil is running down my neck.

Well... When I did it following an unfortunate vomitinginmyownhair incident I left it on for over an hour.

Just make sure you use cool water to rinse - NOT HOT!!!

Thanks. I used cool water as you said but had a devil of a job getting it out and it smells a bit - hair is beautifully soft and very shiny. It really does work for straw hair.
