How much is the normal rate for a hair cut? I dnt want to spend a lot on my hair. The last time my hair dresser charged me 65£. Is it possible to get a decent cut for under 40£

I pay about £22 for my hair to be cut and it's pretty shite, but I can't be bothered to find anywhere else Grin

, its quite expensive to get a decent cut. I tried myself but it was a disaster

I paid £35 last time and it was not bad, was a drastic change in look. When it was longer I went to cheaper places for just trim/layers - not exactly rocket science after all. Friend has recommended hers who is £45 so I am saving up to give him a try as short hair needs a stylist with style imo.

Wow where do you people go to get your hair cut? Seems to me that you are being overcharged. Forget the old fashioned wash and wet cut, get a dry cut its easier for the hairdresser as they can see straight away how the hair falls into the new cut. I pay £15 for a dry cut and my hairdresser is excellent, i love how she cuts my hair.

I allowed the hairdresser at work (care home) to cut my hair two weeks ago and I look like a mushroom! Shock I have to put loads of stuff in it to make the most of the waves otherwise I look ridiculous Confused

She charged a fiver, so what can I expect?

You probably get what you pay for.

Hiddenhome, Shock hope it grows out fine.
I have been scouting my area but they all seem to hover around the 45£ mark

Well I took a gamble and spent £25 on Friday, asked for 'scruffy Audrey Hepburn' and got Annie Lennox post-apocalyptic lesbian warrior woman. Will def be visiting friend's £45 guy when it grows backSad.
