I am freaking out about deodorant FFS!!

So, I have been using Sure Biorhythm roll on for the the last few years, and it is the only deodorant I have ever found that keeps me completely dry. I'm talking wedding-in-42C-heat-in-a-silk-dress-with-no-perspiration dry (a proven test!)

Anyway, I can't find it anywhere, and I think it's been discontinued! I've tried the only other deodorant in their range that seems to have a "dry" focus (called Ultradry, I think) and it's shit! Also bought the spray on version of Biorhythm and it's shit too!

Has anyone else used the Biorhythm roll on and found an alternative that works just as well? I'm desperate! I can't bear the feeling of dampness under my arms again after years of lovely rose-smelling pits!!

Have you thought about trying Perspirex or Driclor? You put it on at night and wash off the next day and it stops you sweating completely after a couple of days - so everything under the pits is totally dry. I used it for my wedding but it's quite itchy and smells (Perspirex) so I don't use it all the time, but for an occasion when you need to not sweat it's great.

My favourite 'normal' deodorant is Mitchum.

NoWayNoHow · 26/03/2012 21:48

You know, I've heard quite good things about Mitchum, but never tried it. I definitely want something I can use regularly, though, so don't know if Perspirex would suit.

I think I'm going to hunt down all the left over Biorhythm stock on the internet and keep it in a little makeshift deodorant bunker. Smile

Once you build up the Perspirex after 2 or 3 days of applying every night, you then only need to top it up about once a week (you don't use it every night for ever). I should get back into it really, but have rather let myself go lately! Blush

Mitchum is amazing! Only thing that works for me

This one?

valiumredhead · 28/03/2012 12:35

Mitchm IS amazing but makes me itch and brings me out in a rash after 3 days. Dove extra strength stuff is great.

NoWayNoHow · 28/03/2012 19:35

OhThisIsJustGrape I LOVE you!!!

I've bulk ordered 5 so I can put off the new deodorant decision for a while!

Mitchum is great. I use the roll on unperfumed and it really is good. I decided a few years back that I must have a defective armpit because one always seemed to sweat more than the other. Mitchum sorted it right out.

EnjoyResponsibly · 28/03/2012 22:35

Haven't tried the one you're now hoarding in a bunker stockpiling, but came on to recommend Mitchum. I use the spray as I wear delicate fabrics for work and find the roll on can stain yellow.

OhThisIsJustGrape · 28/03/2012 22:39

Lol, I only googled it Grin

Glad you found some, how many would you need for a lifetime supply? :)

lilbreeze · 28/03/2012 22:43

Mitchum is actually one of the few that doesn't irritate my skin. For some unknown reason I bought a different brand recently (bio something, aluminum-free etc) and have come out in horrible itchy bumps.

SantieMaggie · 28/03/2012 23:02

Mitchum roll on is a quid in wilkinsons... i got some today as the sure one that has served me over the winter isn't so good in this warmth! Though i forgot the yellow thing so thanks for reminding me - good job i got a spray too!!!

petra14 · 28/03/2012 23:08

before when I didn't care much about ingredients of the deodorants I used them all. Now first thing that I see is ingredients and can't use them any longer, even if I need them. I mean those effective one, Mitchum & Co...

SantieMaggie · 28/03/2012 23:13

I only wish it was so easy to stop my head sweating....

TwinMumMel · 29/03/2012 04:44

Phone the helpline on the back of the product and see what product they recommend in the new range! If discontinued, there will be a product they recommend, even if its a different Brand (Vaseline, Dove etc). Sure do a stick (not roll on) called 'maximum protection' which I know gets AWESOME reviews from my neighbour (female) and whilst not cheap, does go on offer occasionally, lasts ages (longer than a spray) and is worth every penny. Anyhow, the helpline SHOULD also be able to tell you where / if the one you like is still being stocked (if in fact it ISN'T delisted completely). Failing that, let me know, I work for the company and am sure I could find out for you failing all else xxx

NoWayNoHow · 29/03/2012 08:33

Ah, you're all so brilliant and lovely helping me out with my "sticky" problem (arf, arf, snort)

I will definitely give Mitchum a go when these are done, and I will definitely also try the Maximum Protection stick (I used to use a stick as a teenager, but it was a different brand - different country - so haven't tried anything similar since moving to the UK)
