Are these red sandals ok?

Here

I am motivated by wanting some red sandals and that these are cheap. Or is the two fabric thing on the toe awful?

I like them. The 'fabric thing' looks like suede to me Smile

latrucha · 25/03/2012 15:08

I think it is suede. Soemthing about the leather / suede combination seems very 80s to me, and ot in a good way. Perhaps I'm wrong. Smile

I think if you are having to talk yourself into them then don't buy them cos you probably won't wear them.

They are fine. Im in my 30s.

bigmouthstrikesagain · 25/03/2012 16:17

I have them in blue but they were £12 on amazon and I am 37 and will probably wear them this summer with long dresses skirts. they are comfy to try on but I have worn them out yet.

latrucha · 25/03/2012 16:25

I'm off to look at Amazon

vile

parroty · 25/03/2012 16:31

they looks like hasbeens. I don;t like hasbeens. sorry :(

PooPooInMyToes · 25/03/2012 16:32

I think vile is a tad harsh!

JasperJohns · 25/03/2012 16:35

I wouldn't wear them, mostly because they are red. But I have seen worse.

MadameChinLegs · 25/03/2012 16:43

I don't like them. But I don't have to like them. I think they are suited to an older woman, although my DMum is 50 and wouldn't wear them.

Pinot · 25/03/2012 16:43

ooh.

crikey.

they're a bit groovy granny IMHO Blush Like when your Mum goes a bit ker-azy and starts to wear per una.

no. Sorry though

JasperJohns · 25/03/2012 16:50

Oooh yes, I can imagine my mil in them.

latrucha · 25/03/2012 16:51

Ok! Im not getting them. Really I'm just trying desperately to find something red as I've just bought myself a red bag and I need shoes to go with it.

I like red shoes. Smile

OP posts:
londonlottie · 25/03/2012 16:57

Personally I wouldn't do red bag and shoes together; would look OTT. Nude/neutral shoes would work well.

Pinot · 25/03/2012 17:14

I like red shoes. I also like the rhyme "red shoes, no knickers"

JasperJohns · 25/03/2012 17:21

Red shoes and red bag! Shock

SilkStalkings · 25/03/2012 20:05

I think they're all right, would be cute with cropped jeans and a gingham rockabilly shirt. But I would want to try them on, I've bought so many pairs of heeled sandals that fit fine when stationary but end up flapping about under my soles as I walk, basically unwearable.

SilkStalkings · 25/03/2012 20:07

Oh actually just seen the two fabric bit and it has put me off too.
