I have feet of doom. Minging. And can't find one of these for love nor money...

Rexy · 04/04/2012 20:49

Do you just use it after showering or when feet are dry ?

Got mine in the shower cap section of Boots

Hth

GwendolineMaryMagdaleneLacey · 04/04/2012 21:05

I used mine dry for maximum purchase on the manky bits

littleshinyone · 11/04/2012 09:31

Hello!

I was very excited to find 6 (yes. 6) of these in my local boots.

obviously not very mumsnetty up here.

I Bought 3 of them (got to give others a chance). Yet to use mine- toddler and new born- but would like to offer 2 lucky mumsnetters the chance to buy the other 2 off me.

I had thought about trying to make extorsionate profit (there seems to be the demand!!) but would happily let them go to good homes just to warm the cockles of my heart at cost price of £8.75 plus postage. Shall we say £11?

message me if you're interested!

[oh god. are mumsnet going to burn me for selling things?!?!- i sense a name change may be required!]

Schmaffy · 11/04/2012 12:34

Used mine - fab on the feet - well done Shiney.

But then, had a glance at my horrid dry scaly knees. Why not? thought I. Horrendous amounts of dry skin came off - twas like being in a snow globe. However, despite knees now being smoother, are also riven with crater like things across them and ridiculously dry. Arse. Any suggestions?

chipstick10 · 11/04/2012 12:43

Someone on here recommended the one from Lloyds pharmacy, is the soap and glory one better than that?

AgathaFusty · 11/04/2012 12:58

Apparently Soap & Glory will be re-stocking Boots in the near future - I bravely emailed them to ask Grin

sparkout · 11/04/2012 14:24

Did you all do the lemon thing before filing?!

littleshinyone · 11/04/2012 15:00

just used mine for the first time.

oh my dear lord.

it feels like excavation!!!

this actually genuinely makes me feel happy!!

VivaLeBeaver · 11/04/2012 16:56

I haven't found one yet, mentioned it to dh and he sandpapered my feet for me. They're lovely. Never been so soft and smooth. All the dry skin, and I had yellow hooves, has gone.

Whitershadeofpale · 11/04/2012 16:58

OK hands up who was it! I went into Bromley Boots and asked and the woman said she'd never heard of one but someone had been in asking for one the day before (last Tuesday). She wanted to know what it was all about.

GwendolineMaryMagdaleneLacey · 11/04/2012 17:25

One left in 'my' boots where I got one last week. I walked past telling myself I didn't need one for each hoof. It was a close call.

PerryCombover · 11/04/2012 17:36

I bought one ( the shame) it's brilliant

Grockle · 11/04/2012 19:57

I found one! By the wash bags Hmm as someone already mentioned. Why not with the foot stuff? Or soap & glory stuff? Or even nail stuff. Most odd. But I love it! Will try with lemon juice tomorrow.

ILoveApples · 11/04/2012 21:26

I found two - each in a different branch. Wanted to buy one for MIL but decided against it as they both looked a bit manky almost as if they had been used. Agree with you all though tis v good!

SamanthaBrick · 12/04/2012 08:09

It's me - shiney.

Msnorbury - you're doing it wrong Wink

Still loving mine have to say

littleshinyone · 12/04/2012 13:46

I haven't been deleted by mumsnet yet, so thought I'd quietly mention again that i'd got over excited and bought 3...

I think I thought i'd impress Lord Sugar selling at a profit but now just can't be arsed (todder, new born, yadda, yadda) and would love someone to buy them off me.

I put up a post yesterday and someone took me up on the offer (I've send hers off today) so i've still got one extra, if anyone else would like to pay me £11 for a buffer-by-post, please message me!

happy buffing everyone!

daisydoodoo · 12/04/2012 14:47

i just stuck the sainsburys dirty works one on my food shopping order as cant get to a boots for a few weeks, so will let you know if its any good.

clare8allthepies · 12/04/2012 19:06

Thanks for the 'by the washbags' tip, I'd been looking for these every time I ventured into Glasgow but I'd obviously been looking in the wrong place! Only one left though! Smile

DialsMavis · 13/04/2012 20:13

I got one of these today, I am just soaking my vile trotters, then I will get to work- am genuinely quite excited Blush. They have lots in the big Boots at Westfield

ContinentalKat · 14/04/2012 09:38

None in Boots around here (and I looked everywhere!) and they are out of stock in Boots online. Boo hoo, I want pretty feet!!!

MustControlFistOfDeath · 14/04/2012 09:50

Ooh ooh ooh I bought one too when I read the original thread about a month ago, I am a MN lemming my feet are transformed!

But wait..there's an extra bit in the handle...?

MustControlFistOfDeath · 14/04/2012 09:53

Hells teeth, there is a 'travel size' bit in the handle, who knew!

Grockle · 14/04/2012 12:10

Ooo, an extra bit in the handle? How exciting.

This foot buffer has to be the most poorly marketed item ever. Sold in a completely illogical place (by the washbags ffs) so that no-one can find it and it has secret parts that it doesn't tell you about. I wonder how many Soap and Glory would have sold had it not been for this thread.
