My mum (60) is going to L'Enclume for a slap up dinner and is having a complete breakdown over what to wear. She's 60 years old, a size 16, 5'6'', great boobs, curvy, very very beautiful face and hair in a bob. She likes Boden, Jigsaw etc. She needs a dress she feels glamorous in but that can accommodate (and hide) a belly growing through a 7 course taster menu and masses of wine.
Mumsnet S&B experts PLEASE HELP HER!!!

navy
jade
purple
Any of those? Does she have a pattern/plain colour preference? What's the budget?

farrowandballs · 24/03/2012 20:05

Thanks FauxFox. I think the purple Windsmoor is most up her street - she tends towards v necks rather than high necks - she has 32J boobs Shock so hi necks don't love her. My only worry is that I can't see her going for polyester...

Budget wise I reckon she'd go up to £150 for the right dress.

She's not afraid of patterns, in fact she loves them, and she's had her colours done and she's a summer, so colour wise you're spot on with your choices.

Any more for anymore?

could she get an appointment tab John Lewis with a personal shopper maybe? They'll give her style ideas to suit her shape and height.
