here

Is it

A) VILE VILE VILE ARE YOU MAD?!?!?

B) Amazing. I want it.

C) All right, I suppose, if you like That Sort of Thing.

D) Personally I think it's ghastly, but then I wear lots of well-pressed clean new clothes from Isabella Oliver, and I do understand that some people wear odd patterned dresses from the 70s and who am I to judge.

Thanks in advance Grin

Well now I just want to buy it out of spite Grin

TBH I think it could go veeeeeeeeery right or veeeeeeeeeeeeeery wrong. I think if I were devastatingly cool, very young and perfectly formed, it'd look amazing. As it is.....

Sorry, but I hate it - very Abigail's party.

dairymoo · 23/03/2012 21:45

A. Ghastly.

MissBeehivingUnderTheMistletoe · 23/03/2012 21:46

A but Showy likes it Smile

LumpyLatimer · 23/03/2012 21:47

I am surprised at the strength of feeling! I still maintain it's gorge, it's just a question of whether a lumpen, weary, none-too-groomed woman hurtling towards early middle age can carry it off!

Bohica · 23/03/2012 21:49

It is a D from me but I alos really like gnomes link so much so I have just bought it

thenightsky · 23/03/2012 21:54

Nay, nay and thrice nay. If you've hips you'll look as wide as wide can be.

Unless you are planning to wear it for a bad taste party or a joke, i'd step away to be frank.

sorry

eurochick · 23/03/2012 21:55

A. With a bit of D thrown in.

tethersend · 23/03/2012 21:55

B- it is gorgeous, and would look great with tan heels and gold sleepers.

I am a well-documented 70s obsessive, though...

ProcessYellowC · 23/03/2012 21:55

A

and I generally like mad stuff

Apoundinatin · 23/03/2012 22:05

A. It's a bit grim.

PurplePidjin · 23/03/2012 22:06

Ooooowoooo my eyes Angry

LoopyLoopsIsTentativelyBack · 23/03/2012 22:07

A

TuftyFinch · 23/03/2012 22:07

It would look ok if

you were auditioning for a part in Abigail's Party.

LumpyLatimer · 23/03/2012 22:09

Arf @ 'a bit grim' Grin

I shall sleep on it. I'd get it if it I could return it a la ASOS. The trouble with vintage clobber is it's such a blarsted commitment.

OP posts:
Hassled · 23/03/2012 22:10

A. It's fucking awful. Sorry.

MuslinSuit · 23/03/2012 22:11

A. It is comedically bad. Please don't.

cluelessnchaos · 23/03/2012 22:16

I'm widely known as a retro freak and wacky dresser but by god that's an ugly dress

ArielThePiraticalMermaid · 23/03/2012 22:16

Um. C I think.

I can see you in it, if that's any help?

pluckingupcourage · 23/03/2012 22:52

C

it would be vile on me,
but if you are Bohemian (and tall and Alexa Chung)
it could look quite amazing

pluckingupcourage · 23/03/2012 22:53

still can't do strikethrough

noddyholder · 23/03/2012 22:57

If you are super slim and willowy you may get away with it in an ironic retro way if you are average in any way itwill look dreadful.

openerofjars · 23/03/2012 23:03

A unless you are stunningly gorgeous with interesting hair and can only be working with heels.

It would probably look wonderful on Alexa Chung or Claudia Winkelman and even they would get the piss ripped a bit.

I, however, would look like I was wearing my Granny's amazing spare room curtains.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 23/03/2012 23:21

I would look revolting in it. But my 5'8, size 6-8 dd1 has a v similar one (but shorter) and looks gorgeous in it.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 23/03/2012 23:23

MUCH shorter
