well I hope the Daily Mail Reporter cleared those quotes with MNHQ first because all posts are copyright to MN.

Boden are favourites with David and Sam Cameron, and Boris Johnson? Glad I've never sent a penny their way!

AmberNectarine · 23/03/2012 15:57

Ooh...

I like Boden. I try and steer away from their prints because those are getting boring.

But for my late 30s self, the quality and fit are good and reliable. I live rurally so do most of my shopping on-line, and I can trust the fit and quality to be consistent. They have an excellent return policy. Nobody should pay full price, and I am sure very few do as there is always a voucher code. It is the Boden in my closet that gets the most wear.

Johnnie posted a really smug post about it the boden Facebook page.

It's true, they're ubiquitous, dull and poor quality now. Well, not quite everything, but an awful lot. I've still bought some things, though comparatively few of late.

springaroundthecorner · 23/03/2012 17:31

Well I love Boden.

The quality is almost always great and if they is a problem they will exchange or refund no quibbles. The trick, I think, is to buy the stuff which isnt too "Bodeny". I think the flowery rain coats are the worst thing they do - little girl's style on grown women isnt a good look.

Avoid the prints and go for plainer items. The cut and quality is way above the high street for the price. Buying their Limited Edition stuff in the sale is a real bargin.

Never pay full price. You can always find a voucher code or wait!

Their saving grace is that you can return up to 3 months after buying- as I have. Once I returned something unworn after 9 months and got a refund. They are the John Lewis of customer service, if nothing else.

Quality is so-so these days and I think they are pricing themselves alongside the likes of Jigsaw, Kew, Hobbs and even Ted Baker- though without the style of most of these- they are a bit too much like Hobbs IMO, and I don't like.
