Help! What is it with trousers that when you put them on they are all tight, really tight and fitted

but after half an hour of wearing they almost fall down of their own accord? I have some (admittedly cheapo) New Look ankle length trousers on which seem to have gained a size since I put them on this morning. Same with my Red Herring jeans. The Levis don't do this.

Where does nice quality trousers (not jeans) that stay the same size they began for under £50 please? I'm a 10-12, 5"6 and hourglass so no high waists as they gape far too much.

Thank you o wise ones.

Same problem here. DH is sick of me coming home singing the praises of a new pair of trousers and then complaining bitterly 2 hours into wearing them for the first time. And don't even get me started on the sack of potatoes they turn into after the first wash.

The only trousers that have matched my expectations are a pair bought from Next 10-odd years ago (their current stock is shit, to be blunt) and a pair from Fenn Wright Manson bought on sale for £30 (their prices are generally eye-wateringly high, but excellent quality).

Fenn are in TK Maxx, could give them a try.
