Oh God, I need help!

I've just been invited (through work) to a high profile ball next week in London, and have nothing to wear!

I'm not a 'dress' person but need a cocktail dress or ball gown for Tuesday.

Now, the hard part. I'm a size 18 bottom but have a 40JJ bust (you can see now why I don't/can't wear dresses). So ideally I need something stretchy to get my bust in, otherwise a satin type dress which will fit my bust in will just look like a tent over my stomach/bum.

Also, I haven't really got time to order online incase it doesn't fit when it gets here!

Soooooo, can any of you lovely ladies find me something online which can be tried on instore? Maybe NEXT or Debenhams? I've had a quick look this morning when I should be working but I've never been to a ball before so don't really know what I'm looking for.

Evans had some smart dresses that had good stretch across the boobs. Jersey maxi dress type thing was a good fit. I can be a hit & miss with them.

Im not sure a maxi dress from the high street would be long enough though as I'm 6ft tall. Will give it a go though

Or what about Monsoon? blue chiffon, black maxi, navy maxi

Oh I love the Debenhams and M&S ones Fox, not as keen on the Monsoon though.

Do you think a plain black maxi dress would be ok if I get a nice sequin shrug or something to go with it?
