Spray Tan Etiquette - please help

Apologies if this has been answered before. Looked on MN guide and don't have the necessary answer.

Put bluntly are you supposed to just wear pants/knickers?
(Whispers) Would it be too made to wear a strapless bra?
What is the procedure and etiquette?

MsNorbury That is my worry. The recommended beautician is a mum at DS's school.

I have found that DIY is best for embarrassment factor. have also found my new method fool proof. I used ST everyday spray on upper body and use it every other day. Legs I do once a week with the ST full on cream the original one. I find not doing the whole body at once really helps with smudging etc. Plus I don't dread doing it it seems less hassle

MsNorbury that is bloody outrageous. All i can say is go for an..ahem..mature beautician who has plenty of her own body issues;
there's plenty of us.

If you are taking your own thong do NOT take a lacy one like I did a few years ago......unless you want a nice stencilled lace pattern on your crotch area!!!![embarrassed]....

egg yes you can tan with spray tan.i would avoid the pool at first because I find the chlorine fades it easier.also don't rub too ard with towel.
A lot of people get sprayed to avoid looking pale the first week of hols...by then they have a bit of colour.
Watch your hands...mine went really orange despite liberal application of the moisturiser they give you.

Eggrules please be aware that a spray tan makes no difference to your skin's response to the sun - you can definitely tan and burn after you've had on, so you should still use just as much sunscreen! It's easy to forget that when you're all lovely and brown :)

I get mine done in a tanning booth to avoid the hitching of the boobs scenario! Our salon is on Heath Road in Twickenham and is part of a chain (can't remember the name!). They give you a choice of pale, medium or costa coffee dark - I usually go medium and this looks very natural. It lasts about four days.
