Stella Mc Cartney Perfume

She has a new one "Lily" (I read in Good Housekeeping Magazine) it's main note is Lily of the Valley, which I love.

Is Stella Mc perfume Animal Friendly (ie not tested) I presume it is because of her ethics?

Anyone use it?
Recommend?

Lily smells lovely in my opinion - DH has hopefully got me some from duty free.

MrsCampbellBlack · 20/03/2012 20:42

Not sure about animal testing but as she doesn't use leather etc - I would be pretty sure it was 'ethically tested'

The perfume may not be tested on animals but the individual ingredients will have been.

I tried it the other night in Debenhams-it is gorgeous! though I thought it smelt exactly like parma violets...so pretty and feminine.

Oooh - Parma Violets aren't my chosen flower I'm afraid.

I might have a smell of it in Debenhams and see.

Tis lovely.
And I found out that lily stands for Linda I Love You, which is something Paul said to Linda.
Which is nice.

EllenParsons · 21/03/2012 00:04

I have tried it and thought it was nice. It definitely does have a recognisable lily scent but not too overpowering, just smells fresh. I didn't get any parma violet from it personally (I'm not a fan of parma violet either)

Got my Mum this for Mothers Day, lillies are her favourites. She loves it, but says she's going to keep it for good which annoys me (she also does this with makeup that costs more than £10 Hmm) . She doesn't understand perfumes spoil!

theseventhdwarf · 21/03/2012 11:17

i got it but I m not loving it on me - I liked it enough in the shop but it s a bit strong after a while.. Think I might have a 'nihgt' version of it - I didd note as I passed by the stand in debs that theere were bottles with clear perfume in it... miine has pinky coloured liquid... must check it out....
anyone know what i can do with a bottle of perfume i dont want anymore that has been opened?

EllenParsons · 21/03/2012 12:24

Seventh, you should be able to ebay it if you just state in the description that you only had a couple of sprays.

ENormaSnob · 21/03/2012 14:44

I tried it and liked it for the first hour then it smelt absolutely foul on me.

Like old lady perfume.

theseventhdwarf · 21/03/2012 17:33
