Help please. I used to use Pro Lumiere in Beige 40. I loved it sooo much it was perfect for my very, very dry skin and gave perfect coverage. What can I use instead which is exactly the same similar? I am OLD as well so need coverage. I tried the BE stuff when we had the thread on here a while ago and really didn't rate it tbh.

Grateful for ideas please style gurus. Smile

I used Clinique repair wear for years in Alabaster then they discontuned it- grrrr.

You might like it- it's in a pump bottle but you only need a tiny bit- and i mean a tiny bit- one pump's worth for whole face. otherwise you wll ned up looking really made up.

I have now tried both Clarins Extra Firming and Bobb Brown Moisturising- and like both. The Clarins has slightly more coverage but the BB builds up nicely with 2-3 coats and still looks perfectly natural.

Oh my god. I could have written this post. I'm exactly the same shade too. I'm 25 but it was my holy grail of foundation EVER. I bought the perfection lumiere which is the one it has been replaced by and it is completely different, so dry/thick and not at all as good. Cry.

I've heard the Bourjois Healthy Mix is similar.

Thank you for the ideas amelia and quin. I shall have to do the dreaded round of trying out at make up counters but at least you've given me starting points.

Lola, I tried the Perfection and thought the same as you - just, well, yuck really not a patch on the Pro. I've had a sample of the Lift Lumiere and even that isn't great.

Never thought I could actually feel liking weeping at the loss of a foundation. saddo Grin

This stuff is amazing, great on mature sin, gives a luminous finish with decent coverage. I do believe Liz Earle calls it her fave foundation EL Futurist

Did you ever find anything suitable, Singing?

I too wore Pro Lumiere in 40 and could cry that they discontinued it. I loved it's dewiness. Perfection Lumiere looks cakey and settles in wrinkles I didn't even know I had.
