help for a waxing virgin!

I'm thinking about waxing, just DIY no one else is going near me with a waxing strip!

Anyone got any tips on how to do it? Products to use or brands to buy.

Are veet wax strips any good? I want to do my legs and bikini line (when I have the courage!)

Wax strips (veet are fine) are probably a good starting point if you've never waxed before, to get the technique right of pulling the strip off (backwards, not up!). But once you've got the hang of that I'd definitely recommend warmed pot wax. You will get a smoother finish and more hairs out by the root. Oh, and make sure you exfoliate regularly afterwards to prevent ingrowing hairs.

Oh and make sure you trim bikini line hair first! About 1cm is a good length.
As for products, I've had good results with veet strip and warmed wax. I tried the body shop sugaring stuff and found it far too stiff and difficult to spread. But I am now using Lumea to eliminate waxing/shaving entirely!

Honestly, get an expert to do it, at least until you have seen how they do it. Then you can try and copy their technique yourself. DIY will end up hurting you more, and you won't get such a good result. I get it done professionally now, I went through a phase of doing it will veet strips, which are not too bad, it just doesn't do as good a job that's all!
