Tips on cleaning the metallic Converse?

Mine are looking seriously shabby. Do you have any tips on cleaning them successfully? The white leather "toes" in particular are looking very dirty!

Oh good question I have some metallic supergra's and was thinking only this morning how shabby they were looking but no idea how to clean them.

No help whatsoever but will watch with interest...

Washing machine?

I have used Cif and a damp cloth quite successfully on the rubber parts of my Converse. I wouldn't use it on the upper though as it may cause the metallic colour to fade.

puddiing i'm fairly ruthless about throwing most things in the machine but feeling slightly nervous about the metallic converse going in!

Or bathroom cleaning spray come to think of it.

My daughter has some silver converse and I chucked them in the washing machine on a wool wash and they came out fine!
