Straight jeans with ankle boots?

Or do they need to be skinny? Thinking of jeans tucked in as opposed to out over.

Depends if they are piratey/steampunk type boots - if so, tuck in jeans and go with the look.
If the boots are very plain, hide them beneath the jeans, not worth showing off.

I think ankle boots are ok to be visible with leggings/jeggings - you don't really get much choice there.

No.....skinnies tucked in, straight will be too loose, not fitted enough,won't be flattering .......sorry

That's okay - pretty much what I thought. So now I need to find the perfect boots to wear with skinnies in, straights out and comfortable enough not to squish my newly grown bunion !

When you find some Millie let us know. I need some too as its seems the knee length boot thing is over and I'm feeling a little frumpy which is a shame because I'm not sure ankle boots and skinnies is going to be a good look on me.

Yes they need to be skinny if you are wearing ankle boots IMO

Snowmummy, I tried these on in HoF a few weeks back and quite liked them. Didn't buy them at the time as I had shown Ash to DH online and he preferred them. However, am not sure the Ash boots would work under jeans? Have you seen any you can link to?

I kind of like both of those but I just can't see me with those and skinny jeans. I haven't seen any that I think I could wear with skinnies!

I have a pair of flat chelsea boots that I now wear with skinnies tucked in. But if I was wearing straight jeans I'd wear the boots under the jeans; otherwise I look like I am wearing bicycle clips.

OP, if you like those Ash boots, ASOS do something very similar and a lot cheaper here. They come in lots of colours.

OP. look at the recent "new look Marant look a like boot" thread I was on as it discussed similar looking ankle boots. think the New Look ones are sold out now , but I got the Qualheim boots from Aldo for £50 over the weekend which are similar. think they work with straight or skinny leg jeans. (sorry can't link to thread on phone!)

I don't tuck my skinnies in, they kinda just sit on top, but think a straighter leg would sit over no problem.
