You may remember this thread from last year when I was writing a report on Zara. I'm back doing a follow up for my degree - hurrah. No, honestly I live for this stuff, well you're right I don't but I can't get my degree without this module so I'm back.

So a small twist on last years questions if you MNers of high taste etc. wouldn't mind with 2 extra questions on last year:

Why do you shop at Zara?

How often do you shop at Zara or Zara online?
Every Week
Every month
Every quarter
Just for special occasions

Do you usually shop just for you or for family/friends?

What's the best thing about Zara's garments?

This season, what have Zara got really right for you?

Where are the gaps in Zara's lines?

Where else, on the hight stree, do you shop regularly?

Do you shop online?

Do you shop online at Zara?

Where do you shop regularly online?

Have you seen improvements in Zara over the last 12 months?

If so could you say what they are please?

As before the information is just for me alone and will not be shared with anyone else.

I shop at Zara about 4 times a year.
I buy things that are fun and disposable. The best thing about Zara is that it is inexpensive.
Sometimes I browse online and then shop in store, sometimes I shop on line.
The service is generally good at Zara though the shops are always a mess (which is why I like shopping on line).

Why do you shop at Zara?
I like their style, mostly the Zara Basic and Zara Woman, not so much the TRF. Some items of the children's section are very good too, and last ages. DH also likes its style of shirts, suits, jackets and jumpers and some of their shoe styles.

How often do you shop at Zara or Zara online?
Just for special occasions. Being very very honest, online only once. I like going to the store, but I usually have a look online first.

Do you usually shop just for you or for family/friends?
Me, children, friends and DH for himself.

What's the best thing about Zara's garments?
They last aaaaaaaages, at least in my personal experience. I still have a leather jacket from 2002, and in fantastic condition (I wore it yesterday!) Children's clothes are also great quality, again, in my experience.

This season, what have Zara got really right for you?
I haven't been able to go lately (for the past month or so)

Where are the gaps in Zara's lines?
Hmm, it'd be great if they did a maternity line, but then, maybe they're just not interested in one.

Where else, on the hight stree, do you shop regularly?
H&M but mostly Zara Grin

Do you shop online?
Yes

Do you shop online at Zara?
See second question.

Where do you shop regularly online?
No online shopping for clothes.

Have you seen improvements in Zara over the last 12 months?
Hmm... I'll have to think about this one a bit longer, will be back with the reply Grin

If so could you say what they are please?

Hope this helps!

I browse through Zara almost every week, but make a purchase only once a month or thereabouts (office near a Zara shop Blush)

I shop mostly for myself and sometimes for the girls. Never for dh...he says it's all too young for him. I disagree, but then he likes to dress like a 75-year old Hmm

Best thing about Zara's garments - they are always on-trend, and relatively inexpensive. Quality is a bit hit-and-miss...some garments have lasted years, others have fallen apart in months.

High Street - I shop everywhere, but am partial to Oasis, John Lewis, and Mango

I shop a lot more online than in brick-and-mortar shops. However I would never purchase from Zara online because I have to post to Spain for returns. (If this has changed, I would be very interested to know!!)

I regularly shop online from - Oasis, Fat Face, John Lewis (best service ever) and Boden. You haven't asked this, but I hate the online service of : H+M, White Company, and of course Zara.

Improvements in Zara - not sure. There are a lot more basics available in a range of colours, so that's a big plus. The staff are a lot less grumpy and willing to help by hunting for garments, so there may have been some training going on (or this may particular to Cardiff!)

Sorry, I made a mistake before. I do shop for clothes online, from Isabella Oliver. Fantastic service, btw. Flawless.

I used to hate zara but over the past 2 yrs started shopping there more often - must admit I was (positively) influenced by friends and a few good fashion blogs ;)
I shop in spurts - will buy lots one month and then nothing for a long time
zara is good for very on trend pieces that you know you won't wear next seaso but don't want to pay a fortune for ot if you just want to "try out a trend".
quality is hit and miss as someone above mentioned - I like the studio line - some collections had really good items (real leather handbags, silk, cashmere at good prices)
I love their children's collection - sp for girls - well made and reasonably priced.
I shop online a lot - they offer free delivery to store and you can also give back the items in store for refund (I live very close to a number of zara branches but can find sold out items online)
customer service is usually good but some managers tend to be rude (happened 3 times in oxford street branch)
the shops are best visited on week day mornings (esp busy branches) during peak evening times/sales it's like a bazaar :)
they could improve by expanding maternity range (I bought a pair of jeans which I lived in for most of my pregnancy)

hope this helps!

Love love love Zara clothes , bags , shoes etc. But their sizingSadSadSadSad.am an extra large- 14-16 and sometimes the extra large doesn't fit. So many women are 14-16 why don't they rectify this. In Ireland Zara has lost money . Probably because like me womaen want to buy but the sizing is awful.

AbsofCroissant · 16/03/2012 12:13

Why do you shop at Zara?
They have lovely clothes AND you can get stuff that is silk for not stupid money, rather than everything polyester Mango

How often do you shop at Zara or Zara online?
Every Week
Every month
Every quarter
Just for special occasions - very occassionally, in fact, just once.

Do you usually shop just for you or for family/friends? Just for me

What's the best thing about Zara's garments? They're lovely, they're not polyester and they're good value AND interesting

This season, what have Zara got really right for you? I haven't actually had a look yet

Where are the gaps in Zara's lines?

Where else, on the hight stree, do you shop regularly? Topshop and sadly GAP (because it's near work and I'm lazy)

Do you shop online? Almost exclusively

Do you shop online at Zara? Only the once. Overall, I've only shopped at Zara three times (once online, twice in store, but I intend to shop there more)

Where do you shop regularly online? Gap, Topshop

Have you seen improvements in Zara over the last 12 months? Can't really comment

If so could you say what they are please?

I love "shopping" there but rarely buy their clothes because at size 14 I am too large for most of their sizes - seems a lot of the things I like come in small and medium only. HTH.
