I need help wise and avid fashionistas - I have a dress but what to wear with it...

THIS is the dress - it looks a lot better on than in this photo,

I have some black patent shoes I wanted to wear with it but I think that if I wear a black bolero with it not only does it make me look like a giant boob but also is a bit dark for a wedding. Any suggestions as to what to put with it to cover my arms/keep me from freezing?

Oh that is a lovely dress!

When is the wedding - will you really need a cover up?

I wouldn't wear a shrug/bolero as not a fan and it would spoil the dress I think.

Yes, I agree, they ruin the line of a dress don't they! It is in a couple of weeks. If it is a day like today it will be ok but April weather is unpredictable at best and I am a chilly person. I might have to resort to a pashmina I guess but I can never keep those damn things on, they always end up dangling all over the place Blush Grin

MrsCampbellBlack · 15/03/2012 21:35

Thermals?

MyHeadMightExplode · 15/03/2012 21:40

No I clearly said a short cape. Keep up Head

Love the dress!
I would definitely not put a bolero with it as I think it will make it look a lot older.
Maybe try a jacket, I think the ones below would work but maybe aren't what would be the obvious choice.

I would then have bare legs, a spray tan if necessary and some nude shoes and clutch

Hope it's helped

something like this?

or ditch the dress entirely

MyHeadMightExplode · 15/03/2012 21:50

Oh I forgot to say I have nightmare fat feet which is why I am a bit stuck with the shoes I have which I can actually wedge my hooves into

Seriously short cape? Confused Isn't that going to add to the giant boob look?

I like the second blazer fwiw. I think I may be having some sort of fashion blindness tonight. I shall retire drunkenly gracefully
