Purple rain mac, yes or no?

In a flurry of "I need a spring coat, I'm sick of my black winter jacket", I bought this rainmac within the first 3 minutes of walking into the shop. Please convince me it was an excellent purchase and will go with everything I will want to wear this spring.

I love it, and if I had that sort of money to spend on a coat, I would buy it. Unfortunately I have to make do with my winter coat, but I am sick of it.

Veeery nice colour. Personally I can't wear anything trench coat-like, but if I could, I'd buy one of those too.

Ah, this is all very reassuring, thanks. Now I'm almost sorry it's so sunny out, as if I wear it this afternoon I will definitely simply be showing off!

I did wear it this afternoon. And although I did feel a bit like a show-off, I got lots of compliments on the colour!

Lovely! I have bought a purple mac too so I'm biased (although mine came from m&S.

I am on the lookout for a mac but I have a purple bag so might be a bit more reserved in my mac choice.

I like those but am a tightwad so wouldn't be splashing out. My current favourite is in Next though I like the starry one in M&S too.
