Wedding help - what do you think?

I have a late afternoon and evening reception for a wedding in June. I love Coast and Phase Eight and fancy a maxi dress. Bride is happy for me to wear what I like but MOB is very unhappy about my black (coast) dress choice.

As it stands I have this Violet. Is this dressy enough?

I do not like 3/4 sleeves and am looking for a cover up for church. What do you think of a Black satin stole or grey stole or sequins?

I already have gold strappy shoes and a bag.

Many thanks

I like the grey, its softer and does not look as harsh as the black. But you see plenty of people doing black accessories. Love the violet dress.

Ignore MOB what's it got to do with her anyway

It has a lovely drape and as they say 'lovely on'. The wedding is formal and I am worried it will not be dressy enough.

I don't like hats or facinators. I do love this Tara hair band

I agree Heswall Hmm. Black dress is like this but is just below the knee.

MrsSnow would you pair that with grey accessories? I like the idea of teal also.

Would gold shoes/ bag be ok?
