Yeti-like armpits

Do I -

shave then let them grow a bit before I wax them?
or

go for it, whack on the wax and whip it off- no pain, no gain?

I use Veet Hot Wax. I know if the hairs are too short they won't grip. But if it's too long will it work?

TIA

Trim first! If you can manage it. Or if you have a pair of clippers about use them.

If not I'd shave first and then wait a few days.

as a side note how to manage to wax your own arm pits Confused

Thanks- I'll attack with the razor then get a bit of regrowth.I haven't done them for ages, waxing makes it softer/finer and I've been in winter wear but now need to get my armpits summer ready.

Fairly easy to do- exfoliate, talcum then wax in 2 halves. Hair grows upward and downward so have to go against the growth, then one complete swipe to get any strays.
Just need to keep my arm behind my head to keep the skin tight.
And the bathroom door shut so that no-one hears me curse Grin
