Lovely flat shoes...?

Have done my hip in [ancient emoticon] and need to knock the heels on the head (so to speak) for a week or two. Could really do with another pair of pretty, flat shoes, but having browsed a few sites I actually despair of finding any that I like. Not totally flat, as I know that's bad for you too, but maybe with a little wedge or centimetre or two of heel. I have some lovely red Mary-Jane style Lulu Guinness ones that are a bit knackered now, but she doesn't seem to do shoes any more.

Any suggestions?

Don't shout - but Gabor have very comfortable shoes and if you look very hard there are some which are reasonably ok?

I'm basing these in red on the fact you like Lulu Guinness?

But ignore me if I'm way off...

I wouldn't dream of shouting Grin. These are sweet, definitely. I was thinking of something slightly more casual/funky - but I certainly don't dislike these, and they are along the right lines and within price range, so thank you!

I bought these recently, as I am pregnant so don't want heels. And my feet had serious post winter cabin fever.
I was a little worried as they are flat, but have ben so comfortable! And I have had lots of compliments. They look much nicer on too.

woopsidaisy · 13/03/2012 14:14

Oh, meant to say that French Sole do lovely flat shoes too. Unfortunately there is no store near me, but next time i'm in London, I'm going to get a pair of these.

PastGrace · 13/03/2012 14:15

Kurt Geiger have a pretty decent range of low heeled pumps
Lindsey
Lohan
Audrey I love these - I keep meaning to go and find them to try on.

Dorothy Perkins maybe a bit blah in real life?

Marks and Spencer

Thanks so much, everyone - you've done much better than me (really not on form today!). Love the mint-green colour of those French Connection ones, woopsydaisy, and may even just about be able to persuade myself I can justify a pair from French Sole, as I don't wear flats that often!

PastGrace - I think those Audrey shoes may be the ones - pretty much exactly what I was looking for - think I'm going to order them.

If you're a 5/6 and don't want them when you're back in heels, you know how to show your thanks Wink

Francagoestohollywood · 13/03/2012 14:50

I've set my heart on a pair of www.prettyballerinas.com/

speculationisrife · 13/03/2012 14:55

PastGrace - a 4, sadly (for you!). Have just ordered them - very excited! Thanks so much for the link Grin

Franca - love Pretty Ballerinas but I would end up trashing them and feeling guilty, I know I would!

Francagoestohollywood · 13/03/2012 22:30

oh dear, why, what would you do to them??? Are they easy to ruin? Please talk me out of buying them, if it's going to be a waste of money! Grin

speculationisrife · 14/03/2012 13:45

No, it won't be a waste of money if you are happy to spend over £100 on ballet flats (I don't mean that snarkily, btw!), I'm just a bit hard on my shoes, that's all, and I walk a lot of London pavements in my day-to-day life (in a purely non-prostitutional way!), so shoes get easily trashed. If you love them, buy them, I say Smile.

The Kurt Geiger shoes arrived and are lovely - even nicer than they look on the site; PastGrace, you should definitely get them (they run true to size, and have a very pretty patent heel, which you can't tell from the picture).

Just googled Pretty Ballerinas, Franca, and they appear to be selling them on Amazon at a bit of a discount www.amazon.co.uk/pretty-ballerinas-Shoes-Accessories/s?ie=UTF8&rh=n%3A355005011%2Ck%3APretty%20Ballerinas&page=1

PastGrace · 14/03/2012 17:24

Gosh, what quick service! Thanks for the update - glad they're nice. I might treat myself at the end of the month...

Francagoestohollywood · 14/03/2012 17:47

Oh hello Annie, I haven't "seen" you for a long time Smile!

Msarsebiscuit, thanks I will check them out! I am thinking of getting them, as I usually just wear flat shoes, and Pretty Ballerinas seem a bit more "structured" than the ones I usually wear <a class="break-all" href="http://www.google.it/imgres?q=porselli+ballet+flats&hl=it&client=safari&sa=X&rls=en&biw=1236&bih=862&tbm=isch&prmd=imvns&tbnid=B6zKm9EvQvlf4M:&imgrefurl=labarbeapapa-francy.blogspot.com/2011/09/im-in-love-withporselli-ballet-flats.html&docid=6iOdoRdWF2B2tM&imgurl=2.bp.blogspot.com/-GAn0wCFozm8/Tl-oBatkiPI/AAAAAAAAB5I/FEEd2jA2LPw/s400/ballerine-porselli.jpg&w=398&h=345&ei=W9lgT6Z6xua1BvHf1bsJ&zoom=1&iact=hc&vpx=772&vpy=152&dur=162&hovh=209&hovw=241&tx=118&ty=128&sig=105210374200174378480&page=1&tbnh=154&tbnw=178&start=0&ndsp=22&ved=1t:429,r:3,s:0" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">the Porselli ballet flats, but they are about 50 euros more expensive, so I am pondering.

OP, glad your shoes have already arrive and you love them!

Sparklegeek · 14/03/2012 18:40

Anyone ordering from Kurt Geiger...you know there's a 25% off code listed on this board somewhere, right? It's GRAZIA25. Happy shopping!

Gingefringe · 14/03/2012 21:14

speculator love the Audrey shoe. What's the sizing like? I have quite narrow feet and take either 3 or 4 depending on the fitting. Have never bought KG shoes before. Did you get the red? I fancy the black.

speculationisrife · 16/03/2012 13:49

Ginge - they run pretty true to size lengthwise - a tiny bit gapey at the sides, though, so I'm not sure how great they'd be if your feet are very narrow. I got the 'brown' which is actually a very lovely leopard print!

Sparkle - damn, didn't realise there was a discount code. Gah!
