£5 No 7 voucher - anything worth getting?

Wiggletastic · 12/03/2012 19:50

I keep getting these £5 to spend on anything NO 7 at Boots but have never used their products so no idea what, if anything, to get. Does anyone have a recommendation for something - make-up or skincare - that I should try?

Their stuff is good IMO

Am using their beautiful skin range and wrinkle filler Grin

Their 4 in 1 make up remover wipes are good and about £1.99 if you use the voucher IIRC

ENormaSnob · 12/03/2012 20:09

I have used some of their make up before and found it sub standard tbh.

Foundation felt greasy and didn't last, mascara was just shit.

I always use the vouchers on nail colours. I have lots Blush

mamalovesmojitos · 12/03/2012 20:13

I lurve the no. 7 moisturising lipgloss. Does what it says on the tin very well and smells yummy. Bit pricey full-price so I wait for the vouchers to buy it.

warmandwooly · 12/03/2012 20:31

The Lipstick Queen-Poppy King range looks nice. I keep meaning to try it.
They do a hot cloth cleanser that I like. Not as much as Eve Lom or Liz Earle though

Whatevertheweather · 12/03/2012 20:33

I was going to say the lipgloss too, I got Smile recently and its a nice pinky colour, very summery and not sticky/gloopy

I'm not a fan of their make-up, but do use some of their skin care. I tend to buy with the vouchers too.
I like the face mask that heats up on contact with your skin - purifying thermal mask I think it's called. I also like their radiance boosting cleanser that comes with the muslin cloth.
I really don't rate their foaming cleanser though, but with anything, it's maybe just my skin Smile

Meglet · 12/03/2012 22:40

I always buy a new nail varnish - although their colours are a bit old fashioned IMO.

This time I bought Tangy, an orange.

DedalusDigglesPocketWatch · 13/03/2012 07:36

I recently bought the smokey eyes eyeliner, I love it.

I got one yesterday but was in a 'I don't need more stuff' mode so I gave it to the teenage schoolgirls who were perusing the makeup counter. They seemed pleased anyway!

shinecrazydiamond · 13/03/2012 10:52

Dislike No7 as I think it is both cheap and overpriced. Some feat to pull off. The only thing I rate is their two phase eye make up remover... which is not far off the lancome one in terms of performance.

Jackstini · 13/03/2012 11:41

I have done Nail polish before as they have quite a few colours and is only £7 so don't have to put much to it

MadameMessy · 13/03/2012 11:44

I bought the quick cover stick the other day. I really like it, and it was only ?3 with the voucher so far less than I would have paid. In fact I got another voucher when I bought it Confused and was thinking of buying another to stock up Blush

kaluki · 13/03/2012 11:49

I agree that it is grossly overpriced but with the voucher it makes it all more reasonable.
I like the smokey eyes eyeliner which is normally £9.75 so I got that for £4.75 and their perfect mousse eyeshadow is about the same.

Agincourt · 13/03/2012 11:50

i likeno 7 but can't afford it anymore

daimbardiva · 13/03/2012 23:02

I too like the smoky eyes eyeliner, and the perfect mousse eyeshadow. Also, the exceptional definition mascara, but my new favourite product of theirs is the lip lacquer - misnamed I think though, as it's more like a lipstain. It's two ended so you can just use the stain or top it with a gloss for a more dramatic effect. I have bought 3 in the last two weeks (using vouchers of course!), I am that impressed. And i speak as someone who NEVER wears lip colour!

I always stock up on Protect & Perfect serum if I get a voucher. I like the make-up too.

RainbowBlue · 13/03/2012 23:08

Illuminating concealer...a cheaper version of YSL's touche eclat (with a voucher of course!).

EllenParsons · 14/03/2012 00:07

I like:

Protect and Perfect lipcare - really nice moisturising creamy lip balm which fixed my awful chapped lips. I use a bit of this every morning and night now.

Beautiful Skin purifying face scrub (you can get extra points on this, meaning with the voucher it is only 50p instead of £8!)

Nail varnishes (my usual staple buy with the voucher)

Poppy King lipglosses (don't know if they are still on sale, I got some Christmas ones in the January sales)

porcamiseria · 14/03/2012 08:19

no!!!

mrsflower · 14/03/2012 08:48

No

IMO the price of No 7 has gone through the roof in the last few years. I don't even bother looking anymore. Even when I have a voucher...

memphis83 · 14/03/2012 08:53

The BB cream is great, people often compliment my skin since using this and the face cream, I have dry skin and its the first cream that isnt greasy!
Also the nail varnish is good.

Emo76 · 14/03/2012 09:32

I second the Poppy King glosses -really good and non sticky

I use mine for cleansing wipes
